We currently have cove balconies booked for our Feb and Sept 2021 cruises. We prefer those balconies but will be calling to move to Deck 7 balconies instead. Plan is to not use elevators but to use the stairs to get around. Better for the health and more of an opportunity to social distance. two flights down to 5, 3 up to the Lido deck
Seems like the obvious answer and it never occurred to me to do that!

I don’t think anyone, with the possible exception of high level executives, knows for certain when anything will be reopening or at least has a solid idea when they hope to reopen. Most people on this site including me are just stating opinions based on their own perspectives. However, there are still people out there that think cruising will resume in June. I would bet my last dollar against that happening.I would agree on that

If you have any background in business, you would understand no cruise line, including Carnival, is going to announce they have cancelled cruises for the remainder of the year. Cruise lines will continue to announce cancellations roughly 30 days at a time. Based on everything I have heard and using common sense, the likelihood of cruise lines resuming operations this year is slim. I live in Florida and lately local news reports have stated Disney World will likely not reopen until 2021 due to challenges such as social distancing. If Disney World, with all its land can’t reopen, how do you expect a small, confined ship (even RCI’s Oasis class ships are small when considering this virus) to cruise in the near future.I think local news sources are just speculating that Disney will not Re open until 2021. I’m in central Florida and haven’t heard anything confirmed about that. I have also heard a lot rumors that Disney is opening to Florida residents in the next month or so. Either way they are just rumors until Disney makes that announcement, same with Carnival.

I’m actually still working full time and having to bring my son to work with me (who’s 4) and I find myself coming on here a lot! I have two cruises coming up , Dec 2020 and May 2021 and both ships aren’t completed yet. I am always trolling for new info and to keep my hopes up!

I wish!

If that were true, then why were the summer radiance sailings cancelled before other ny sailings?
I’m just guessing but maybe because they were transatlantic and then NY sailings. I can’t imagine any cruise sailing from NY this year

I read on a social media site that someone called Carnival and they confirmed that the dry dock was completed for this ship. I had a free moment at work just now and called and the rep said that it is scheduled to be completed in two days and that they did not stop working on the refurbishment. I am not sure if it is true but here is to hoping! Our sailing is December 5th, 2020. Now we just have to worry about this Virus!

Someone on another social media site said they called Carnival today and they confirmed that the refurbishment was completed as of yesterday. Not sure if it is true but I hope so!

Actually I saw a news report on NBC news about Spanish workers returning to work. Did not specifically say shipyard workers. Figure if they were returning about two weeks ago they would be ready by Dec.
Ah ok! Thank you!

It willpobably be ready as Spain is starting back to work. Think redo was six weeks
Just curious where you read that? I always try and find something but have no idea where to look.

I wouldn’t mind going but I would be worried about being quarantined after and I have to go back to work !
-
Are you saying this is the future of cruising or just cruising in the near future ?
-
I wouldn’t want to go soon only because I would be worried about being quarantined when I come back BUT we have a cruise scheduled for December and one in May and we are definitely excited about them!

Last May we went on our annual cruise. We actually decided to not cruise this year so we could save money but I convinced my husband that we should skip Thanksgiving and Christmas and take a cruise instead. My whole family and some friends are scheduled to go on the Radiance December 5th! We also have one booked May 15th on the Mardi Gras! We are hoping we can still go in December. We love cruising. We actually got married on the Magic in 2017

Mine are still the same final payment dates.

Curious about this. We are sailing on her December 5th and are getting nervous they might cancel or switch ships/itineraries
-
I called a few times and got right through

We are going in December and I thought it was odd that I couldn’t find much on it on this site but FB has a lot of groups that have a lot talk and speculation to keep me busy until we sail 😂

I made an account with Allstate about a month ago and entered in all the promo codes and accumulated a bunch of points . I went to log in just now to buy a gift card and it is saying it can’t let me log in. Anyone else having this problem. Is there a different website to log in to that i might have forgotten or is it just Allstate.com?

We took my son last year at 3 and he was use to sitting for the MDR but didn’t do well in the steak house for some reason. Could have been an off day for him though. I think a 10 year old would do really well. I would have enjoyed it a lot !

So...I guess I never finished this review last year! Woops, I guess life got the best of me.
Next stop St Thomas:
Let me just start by saying I would move to St. Thomas if I could! We love it here. Since this was a year ago I’m not going to pretend I remember what we ate for breakfast. I can tell you it was most likely at the lido and we probably over indulged on bacon and hash browns.
I do remember the weather was perfect though. We learned from our last visit here and from this site to not take any Carnival beach excursions. We walked off the ship and paid maybe $20 to get to Megan’s Bay. Those Van rides are always wild to us! For some reason I forgot to bring a lot of cash with me but I had just enough to rent some chairs. I love how you have to drag them on your own though! We lounged and played in the water all day long. The water was absolutely beautiful that day. We had visited in 2017 and were rained out within an hour of being there.
We headed back to the ship to eat some lunch and change. We still had time after so we got back off the ship to shop around and explore a little. I don’t think we purchased anything though. We usually limit our purchases to hot sauce or Christmas ornaments (that I bring home and forget I have btw). We most likely at in the MDR this night .
Funny Story, this year we picked to have early seating because my husband wanted a better view in that dining room. We ended up at a table with another couple from TN who’s daughter dated the son on my in laws best friend in Florida. What a small world right?
Here are some fun pics from that day!
Next up Puerto Rico!
