Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you for posting. We are going in July and I was wondering what would happen. I would’ve reacted just like you did. People need to use common sense and if someone is worried about COVID, then a cruise is the last place to be. My whole family had Covid at Christmas time and we all had minor cold like symptoms. People need to start treating this like any other virus. I also don’t understand wanting to know who is vaccinated…even the vaccinated can get COVID and spread it.
  2. Not sure what to do! My family (me, hubby, 3 yr old and 10 yr old) are booked on Enchantment of the Seas for July in connecting ocean view rooms. We didn’t want to be cramped into one room. We also have a friend and son traveling in the room next to our room. Just got the Rup email to bid on several suites including the 2 bedroom suite. I would love to do it but if I won the bid, my hubby and 10 yr old wouldn’t get to enjoy the benefits of the suite other than a larger, nicer room. We would also be farther away from our friends. They haven’t received an email yet to bid up. I am torn on what to do!!!
  3. Just submitted my 2 yr old for her passport in May. It took a few mins to go online and get the appt within 2 weeks (on a Saturday). I filled out the form and gathered my documents. On the morning of the appt, we loaded went to go the PO where we walked in, submitted the docs, got her pic taken and paid the dues. I would say all and all it was under 1 hr to get her passport. It’s not really that hard.
  4. We went ahead and found a RC excursion so we don’t run into any issues.
  5. Hello, I thought I read that I am required to book a shore excursion through RC so that my daughter can get off the ship in Bermuda. I can’t find that requirement now. The excursions we want are not on the RC site so I thought about booking the cheap (Horseshoe Bay) transfer on RC for her only and then booking the excursions we want directly. Does anyone know if that requirement still stands?
  6. I read that in the Bermuda forum last night. Thanks for the info!!
  7. Thanks y’all! I just needed to stop overthinking it and someone tell me to do it. We live in the metro DC area and didn’t want to fly or drive somewhere in addition to the cruise. We booked the Enchantment of the Seas leaving Baltimore heading to Bermuda and CocoCay in July. I booked connecting ocean view rooms for my family of 4 (kids age 3 & 10) that way we will have enough room. A friend and her 10 yr old son is going with us and got the room next to ours. Thank you all for replying! Off to search the boards related to our cruise.
  8. Thank you for the reply! I just found out about the Royalup program and didn’t realize if I should plan on it for not. We have a 3 yr old and 10 yr old. I’ll talk with hubby and my guess is he will want to spend the extra for a little more space. He just keeps saying he wants the room we had last time. Haha! It was one of those “corner panoramic windows on the front of the boat” rooms and I don’t even see a jr suite as an option for this sailing, much less that room type.
  9. You just answered for me. We are pretty much set on the ship and date so I better snatch it up. I’m way overthinking this so I might as well just do it. Thanks for the motivation!
  10. I’ve last cruised in 2018 as a family of 3. We were fortunate and had an amazing jr suite that was large enough we didn’t need to worry about space. Now we are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Do I book now under the kids sail free or wait? I can’t decide on shoving us all in an (1) ocean view room or getting (2) connecting rooms (about $1,000 more total). We don’t expect to be in the room much. Or how can I know if trying for a RoyalUp bid is even an option for the cruise? In that case, I might try for 1 room…..I think and bidding up.
