Well just starting to get ready to go on Sunday, been a turbulent 2 weeks resulting in hubby not well enough to travel so mother coming with me, this has meant some frantic phone calls and some extra out lay with ryanair to get tickets changed, costa were a pleasure to deal with. So plans for excursions are now different and have booked Spa passess for whole cruise as mum and I enjoy spa , hubby not so.indeed after the stresses of the last few weeks a restful cruise us called for.

Just got my e tickets through this morning for our cruise on Diadema next month. Looking forwards to it but have done most of the ports several times before. Hubby will only fly short haul and hates multiple sea days so sailing from Southampton a no go. Trying another cruise line next year just to get some different ports as as much as I love Costa it is getting a but repetitive

Depends on what you want to spend and what you expect from the hotel and room. Hotel Leonardo Las rambles if modern and has quality rooms and a very good breakfast. 5 mins walk from Las rambles so slightly quieter. All rooms sound proofed . But if you want to be right on Las rambles and don' mind basic I also have experience of some others . Let me know what you want

I too am looking at mother of the bride outfits non pastel. Currently thinking a midnight blue or dark green and prob not a dress. Also shopping for fabric for the bridesmaids dresses which I still have to make. Having trouble matching the main fabric to the lace . Not helped by the fact each bridesmaid in a different autumnal colour! 3 adult dresses and one for a baby who will be 10 months old on the day of the wedding. (One of adukt bridesmaids baby) and two of the bridesmaids are trying for babies😣

Somehow we often seem to arrive home in snow or gales too.

We sail from Barcelona. Hoping to do our own thing in Palma as know it well and often use the public transport in mallorca . Rome get coach transfer and then do own thing. Savona I find easy to go round but hubby never been so just going to take it as it comes. The other ports not 100% sure yet but been to Marseille several times not mine or hobbies fav so maybe try a bit further afield maybe Aix or Cassis.

3)Try not to interfere in the daughter's wedding plans for October 2018.
