That's great to know! I'm celiac, and have appreciated the excellent job Seabourn does accommodating my diet, but I always figured the fried chicken was out of the question.

Also, to clarify, the TK rib and fried chicken nights are held in the Colonnade, not in the TK Grill. You need reservations for the TK nights in the Colonnade, but they're easy to get if you make them when it's announced. Reservations for TK Grill are sometimes easy to get onboard, other times not so much, in my experience.

You can stuff a lot of clothing into the $50 laundry bag, especially if you roll the clothes tightly!

I couldn't fine a booking number for our pre-booking of the 2023 South America-Antarctica cruise. Did you find it in the "My Bookings" section of your account?

We just put down $400 on the South America and Antarctica this morning. The price will determine whether we proceed further, but it sounds like an amazing itinerary!

We've never been had the pleasure of an Antarctica cruise yet, but I've enjoyed reading about people's experiences in this strand.

Our previous longest cruise was 23 days, Manaus to Monaco on the Quest in 2018. We loved that, and the sea days crossing the Atlantic, enough to sign up for the 146 day 2020 World Cruise on the Sojourn, to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The pandemic meant we actually sailed for 73 days, and it wasn't enough! Even with 17 days at sea as the Sojourn was unable to make multiple stops wasn't too much for me. We, and many other guests, were disappointed to have our cruise cut in half. I'm just hoping we'll be able to sail again in 2022.

Do you have a favorite hotel in Amsterdam or Rome? With our last cruise half completed (the 2020 world), our next cruise cancelled by us (first portions of 2021 world) because of port and virus concerns, we are trying to keep our Seabourn bubble of happiness by looking ahead to a cruise in the fall of 2021. Any hotel suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank you for posting this picture, suzeshoes! My shoes (too many, but I couldn't help myself) are already enroute to Miami by Luggage Forward, in preparation for our World Cruise. I'm now hopeful that the cupboard will hold them nicely. I hope your cruise is great!

Yes, Catlover54, we now enjoy the challenge of seeing how many items we can stuff in the ship laundry bag. It's actually amazing how many will fit! I'll have to try your bubble bath scenario, maybe with a glass of wine, too?

I'm finding the responses to this question interesting. I've never seen a crew member taking out completed laundry from any machines, but I have seen passengers who are waiting for machines do so, frequently, from both the washers and dryers. I think if you are concerned about someone touching your clothing, you might want to be back before it is finished. I thought I was being kind to gently fold, rather than heap it in a basket to emerge later quite wrinkled. (No, I don't think there were any undergarments.) Oh well....

I frequently found unattended, yet complete, loads in both washers and dryers on both Odyssey and Sojourn. I usually waited a few minutes, and then if no one came, put the wet clothes into a laundry basket - if I was lucky enough to find one in the laundry room. I attempted some careful folding of dry clothes, if the owner didn't return. To make sure my wet clothes didn't need to be taken care of by someone else, I always tried to return to the laundry room early. I brought a book to read while I waited, but I also met some interesting people for conversations! We used the ship laundry service for the last two cruises, so I haven't had to experience this lately. I do understand, Gallivanter, that there are clothes you just want to take care of yourself.

We loved this cruise, so it was worth it for us. We live half way between Seattle and Vancouver B.C., so we usually check both places for international flights. We flew from Vancouver (leaving about midnight), from there to Mexico City, then to Panama City, and then finally to Manaus. We arrived about 8:00 pm. Yes, not a fun flight schedule, but seeing some of the Amazon was amazing - bucket list experiences!

Seabourn provides laundry detergent pods, and it is free. No quarters or tokens. They don't supply fabric softener sheets for the dryer, so you would need to bring those if you want them.

It was free when we did it, and we were very surprised at the quality of the show. Too bad they're charging for it now - that would make it a more difficult choice.

We did the Manaus to Monaco itinerary in March of 2018, and loved the Amazon portion. Yes, getting to Manaus was a pain. We spent two nights in the Hotel Villa Amazonia before the cruise, and enjoyed walking around, seeing the Opera House, spending time watching fishing boats selling their catch, people watching, as well as a Seabourn excursion to a village and rubber plantation. We loved kayaking on the Amazon as well as the zodiac trips. All were worthwhile. Yes, don't miss the free Boi Bumba show in Paretins. Amazing! We did the zodiac to Devils Island, and liked the tour through the ruins (especially after rewatching the movie Papillon). We got the yellow fever waiver, and had no problems with mosquitoes. We did wear insect shield clothing as well as using insect repellant lotion with Picaridin. It was a great trip!

I'm wondering if anyone has found ideas for shoe storage on the O class ships, veranda suites. My shoes, and my husband's, have mingled together on the floor of the closet underneath our hanging clothes on our previous Seabourn cruises. With a much longer cruise coming up, I will likely pack a few extra pairs (and my husband might go crazy and bring one extra pair). Any additional shoe storage spaces I might have overlooked?

Has anyone had experience using one of the over the door shoe holders on a cruise? I'm concerned they will damage the closet door and/or not let the door close completely. When I look at reviews on Amazon, many people love them (in their own home), while others show pictures of damage or state the door doesn't close with it on. I'd love to try one, but with packing space so precious, I hate to bring something unless I'm quite sure it will work. Thoughts?

We found the washing machines in the laundry room on Sojourn to be quite busy whenever we checked. 

We found the washing machines to be very busy on both the Odyssey and Sojourn, but used them on our first two cruises on Seabourn. Then we were able to use the Seabourn Club perk of one bag of laundry per week free, and we were very happy with the service. I am an expert at stuffing a lot into one of those little bags!

I take a couple of dresses, and then a number of dressy tops to wear with my black pants for evening. It works. I may be a bit tired of my clothing choices on the 2020 World Cruise...

The woman I talked to at Luggage Forward said their restrictions are slightly different than TSA, because they use cargo planes that aren't pressurized the way regular airplanes are. Also, she said they have concerns because they might be dealing with customs, getting to your cruise or at the end of the cruise.

It's very interesting to me that so many people feel it is fine to save a sun lounger for  an hour. I would feel embarrassed to leave my things for an hour and expect to come back to that spot. If I go to lunch, I believe I should take my things and give someone else a chance to enjoy that space. A thirty minute grace period is quite generous.
