Good tip about breakfast at the Taste Bar. We encountered fog like that sailing into Mobile Bay on the old Holiday. The foghorn kept sounding every few minutes. It was quite an experience!

Can someone please explain this to me? (if you live where winters are cold, like Chicago.) I've always cruised during January or February to ward off the winter blues. It truly helps me escape my mid winter funk. It seems a bit silly to me to cruise to the hot Carribbean in say, July, when it is equally warm here. But that's just me. Thoughts?

To me I took the Applebee's reference as nothing is special or elegant about Carnival now a days with all their cost cutting measures. You can't even get your OWN MEAL anymore

Capt's party was a nice and elegant party. Now it is just an excuse to get us to dress up and sell you expensive pictures.

AWWW that's sad it's gone. Now I'm almost going to feel funny getting dressed up...like all dressed up and no where to go!

I too thought the grass was greener when we sailed NCL once- it was just so boring. No excitement or craziness. Everyone in bed by 10PM

Interesting and helpful as always fellow cruisers. I did not realize the captain's party was no longer. I still thought that was being held, as well as getting a free drink coupon. :mad: I always used to say, "Carnival treats you right". Now I'm thinking I don't like this new Carnival

for a 7 day cruise. I feel ridiculous but it's just too hard to pare down!

Yes. You can get just fries.

 

I like to get a plate of fries, then walk over to Blue Iguana and get them covered with Carne Asada and cheese with all my favorite toppings. Like nachos but with fries instead of chips. .

I must have purchased the one exception? I've been wearing mine since May and it's not caused any discoloring, nor have I had any other issues. I bought several pieces, in different lengths, of the same chain.

I agree no problems with my "gold" purchase

We buy about 5-6 bottles of booze to take home with us, any picture that turns out great (we spend a lot on pictures- good pictures to me are priceless), and probably 10 drinks a day between 2 of us. We don't buy things from the gift shops- we have way too much stuff and trinkets as it is

That show is wrong on so many different levels:D My team needed a bra and my DH, one of the most reserve guy on earth said, hon give the guy your bra. Before I know it this 200+ pounds guy was wearing my favorite gel bra. Things haven't hung right since. One point they asked people to demonstrate their favorite 'postion'. It made me blush and that's no easy task!

 

I like when people take their nose from up in the air and have fun, not take things too seriously. My friends know until they have been there and done that, keep it to themself.

I would consider eggs baked at 390 degrees for 15 minutes COOKED. My centers were just slightly melty. I attribute most of that to the gooey melted chocolate. I don't like it too liquidy. I agree, ask for yours "well done" not gooey

It was mom's first cruise and she enjoyed the hell out of EVERYTHING:D
