  1. Like other folks here, I too have done this multiple times, 2 out of L.A. (Golden and Star) and 2 out of S.F (Star and Grand) and I love everything about this cruise. Sea days, ports and ship life. I did a video on my last cruise that shows some fun stuff and sights not normally focused on in ship videos. The link is below if you want to get a flavor for this Hawaiian cruise. Mark

  2. Out of 14 cruises on Princess, I've only seen the Love Boat Dream in the dining rooms and putting room service trays on the floor of the "narrow" hallways is dumb and dangerous. The room steward always removes these during their next stateroom visit.

  3. Maybe the one in the dark is the Star and the one after the sun came up is the HAL ship. Can't imagine the ship just sat there waiting for the sun to come up like they have to do in Kauai.

I kinda thought that too, but the Princess "Sea Witch" on the (huge white arch funnel area) is very lit up. As is the Skywalkers (shopping cart handle) on back, So it's very hard to tell in this picture.

  4.

Good to hear from you again Dan & Jackie, and Mark & Tricia. Hope you are still enjoying cruises. Mark, thanks for linking your video. You gave me a little inspiration to try a video.

Technology has certainly made things much easier. After watching your video, I saw you didn’t have any shots sailing back under the Golden Gate Bridge.

Lol, thanks and yes I did miss coming back under the gate. I had ran down to the IC to get some coffee and by the time I ran back up, we were already in the bay. Most of the random clips I stitched together for that video were done on my iphone and a gopro strapped to the rail of my balcony. No big expensive production, so I know you can work your magic into something pretty spectacular. Mark

  5. Not to preach, but having sailed four times on Princess to Hawaii, I would just settle in and have a good time. Let the crew fuss over maintenance issues since ships are massive maintenance projects anyway. We all know stuff happens!

These Hawaiian cruises from the west coast are awesome, so focus on that...My two cents!:halo:

  6. Great video. Now I’m hungry. It looks like you did the Chef’s Table. We plan to do that again.

    Weather looked rainy.

    Thanks for sharing.

Yes we did! I have done it twice in 10 cruises with Princess. The main course selection this time was not my favorite but everything else was wonderful. It only rained at the end when we arrived in Ensenada and up the coast to San Francisco the next day. In fact we had a pretty wild storm and the Captain moved slow up the coast during the peak of it so no-one got hurt or ill. Have a great time!

  7. As I said before, we do love the shows. What else is there for us to do in the evenings? We are not drinkers so do not patronize the bars except to listen to GOOD music. We do not like trivia or games on board. DH doesn't gamble so did not want to leave him alone to go into the casino.

Why don't you try one or two shows? You also may like them.

    I think it's great!

I was laughing at myself, because I just never seem to make it to the shows and I don't drink, smoke, gamble or do trivia either.
