We had a bad experience on Brilliance too...  Manicure started to peel before the day was even over.  Got it redone for free, but it peeled again after a day.  I will not donate another penny to Royal Caribbean Spas.  They need to switch providers.

I am sorry about your bad experience.  Hope they can work it out for you.

I feel bad because it was supposed to be a treat. To go in with Sondra Locke hair and come out with Lilly Munster black blend  when she went in for some root lightening is inexcusable. For them to pad the tip by an extra $40 (not authorized) is down right dirty... It spoiled an otherwise outstanding trip.

  2. Just booked next year on the Indy while I was on the Indy last night. I gritted my teeth at them doing Falmouth as opposed to Ocho Rios but it is what it is... They had no printed cruise planner available for the area and the wifi on board for my Voom was abysmally slow. I was able to see "Adventure Falls and River Tubing" before the wifi locked up again. Before exiting the app I saw "duration 2 hours"... Something isn't right because its abut 1 1/2 hours to Dunn's River falls each way from Falmouth... I asked at the shore excursion desk and the gal there said "Adventure falls is Dunn's River". I'm pretty sure she was mistaken... Has anybody done "adventure falls". Is it worth considering or do I stick with plan and find another tour with river tubing and falls climbing at Dunn's

  3. Normally if something is a little off or even a lot off I don't say a word but our experience in the Indy hair salon really evokes a need to shred them.  Springing for pampering is not my norm but since our cabin bid up was not accepted I had some extra in the budget to splurge. My GF is a very attractive blonde that now and then could use some touch up on her roots. The staff person that greeted her could not be friendlier or nicer... She was scheduled for what should have been an hour to hour and half procedure to lighten up some. I checked in with her at that hour and a half mark and she replied they were nowhere close to done. Hour 2 then 2 1/2 passed with no end in sight. She had me go take our seats at dinner. At the 3 1/2 hour mark she finally appeared. I couldn't recognize her. I could tell tears had been flowing then I noticed a Lily Munsterish quaff!!!! Nearly black in places, uncountable shades darker. She had gone it to get lighter not darker! She couldn't tell when she left that had happened as it was still moist and didn't notice til she passed a mirror as it dried between salon forward and MDR aft.  She nor I are confrontational sorts and bit our tongues...  Hell, it was only $109 and we'd just have to fix.

Or was it... As she hadn't noticed when she left she authorized a $20 tip (total). A few days later (last night) I was playing with my RC app and scrolled down to my running list of charges. All seemed in order then There was an odd list of $89 charges added -subtracted- added- and subtracted with no explanation. I went to the service desk to ask what that was all about. A nasty young man would not detail what that was all about, instead saying "What does it matter since no charge actually stuck"???? I think if somebody was playing games (or mistakes) I deserve an explanation especially since we had been ashore all day the day they were applied. I scrolled one notch further and noticed yet another charge .... A $40 "tip" from the salon??? Four days later??? I scrolled back to the original salon charge. They had already taken a $19 tip on that! The nasty young man at the service desk said he couldn't /wouldn't help. Told me to take it up with the spa directly. They were closed and again closed this morning!!! So just doing my civic "buyer beware" duty and letting y'all know...

Does anyone know if any dive trips leave from the Money Bar? Or do they also rent gear for a shore dive?

Right above your post. They rent gear for local.

We usually use Park 'N Go in Fort Lauderdale; cheaper, secured lot, and great service!

Have done that before... Ex wife and daughter didn't mind. Last year was my new GF first cruise and it was Canaveral  where we parked right there. She loved it, especially since we do carry on bags. We head to the Keys after this trip and looking to get out quickly.  If its a walk. I could drop her at terminal then park...

  6. Been reading up on the region  looking at things that are a little special there. I have seen local chocolates and vanilla mentioned then another source mentioned that hammocks are a native specialty? My GF loves hammocks and would like to get her a couple. Any suggestions as to places that might be better than others?

thanks for sharing that. We are boarding the Adventure on Saturday. We got that email, but just thought that was routine.

Its common but not "routine" a couple inspections per year are "scheduled" but some are random and do cut into schedules some... I run a sport fishing boat and once in a while we get inspected offshore with passengers aboard even.

  9. I was reading a thread on Vanilla  in Cozumel some time back and lost track of it.  Looking for a couple bottles of extract but would really love to find the beans themselves. Any suggestions? We are in Cozumel and Costa May both next week. Thanks!

  10. I know we can get vanilla in Cozumel in most any grocery store but I "heard" Costa Maya may have better? Like a couple bottles of extract and would love to find vanilla beans whole if possible. Any suggestions or input?

  11. I'm stuck at Freedom Class. Indy at least on paper is the go to for my needs. That being said. There could be a an Anthem class in the near future and an Oasis class (even trans Atlantic) as soon as we get our kids off to school. I've done only about 20 cruises. Many on older boats then slowly working my way up through the RCCL ships. I was worried that bigger might mean crowded or less "Hands on attention". Not so... I have found what dictates  feeling a notch above is dictated by the duration of a cruise. The weekend quickies seem to draw more John Q Public than the longer ones that draw a more "refined" group.

Seems legit.  OP, There's a Walmart 20 minutes away (I-95 and Broward Blvd).  Alternative is Oakwood Plaza - about 15 minutes away, with a Ross Dress for Less and Marshall's (I-95 & Stirling Rd).
