I would think with anytime dining they could still accommodate your group.  Link your reservations and check in using the app, when you check in list the party size and they will let you know when the table is ready.  It may be a little longer than normal but I would think Carnival sees this all of the time.

Congrats on 50 ("+") years, very excited for you.  Nice to take the gang with you, we are celebrating 40 years on our upcoming cruise, very excited about it!  😊

Congratulations to all y'all and we hope your upcoming cruises are amazing! Lol, we're the (married)newbies here at only 35yrs!😉 Celebrating our anniversary in Oct on the awesome Magic to Bermuda. Can't wait...

  2. Hey all,

I apologize if this has already been asked/answered, but I've been scrolling awhile and haven't found it as of yet...

Anyway, we're on the much loved by us: Sunshine- 8/5/19. I cannot find the Aug movie list anywhere. I've tried. I don't do fb, so I thought I'd try here. TYIA😀

  3. The beer is actually separate from the cooler when delivered to your cabin. The neoprene coozies, cups, bottle opener, ect  are all inside of it. The beer is room temp. As soon as you see your steward  just ask him/her for ice. Or you can call aroom service and have them deliver a couple buckets. We've gotten these a few times. The old red ones are awesome. The bluish-gray ones, not so much. They leak. A lot. The top flap has a magnetic closure that never actually closes tight. We just bring an inflatable "champagne bucket" and keep my Hubs beer in there. No leaks. No mess. Just throw them away when disembarking... The Carnival coolers make good RoadTrip snack/picnic bags later on though.

  4. Ok, so we finally got home. It was an amazing cruise, as usual. We were both sad to be getting off the Breeze, BUT much worse was waiting for us.  As soon as we turned our phones back on Saturday 2/16 when we got back to Port Canaveral, they both started blowing up & we didn't even know when the messages were from. Tim's Mom had a massive stroke Fri and his siblings were trying to get a hold of us to let us know. She'd already died early Sat morning before we even docked. 9 1/2 long hrs later, we got home, took care of some things here, repacked and left for TN where she was going to be laid to rest...Now we're back home, I haven't even unpacked our cruise luggage or anything yet.

So, I just got on here, saw @cruisecraze96 post and am really glad that someone already posted the fun times for y'all. I don't see it anywhere, but my mind's a bit frazzled right now. IF they're still needed from 2/9-2/16 just let me know. I'll scan them into a PDF file and email. Or I think I can insert  the file here? Sorry I'm so late getting back on here. Certainly NOT the way I'd expected it to all go.

    Have a Blessed day.

  5. I'll usually have 1-2 on a 7day. Lol my sweetheart Hubs has the need to consume at least 8-10. I prefer Blue Iguana. Much less fat content in my salads there. Of course, at 6'5" and 190, he can eat however much & often as he wants!😏 Me otoh, yeah not so much 😂

  6. Congratulations on such an awesome milestone!!!

We're going on the Breeze Saturday also. She's one we've not yet been on. Cannot wait!

Lol, if we do cross paths on the ship, don't think I'm a crazy woman! We'll just say hello 😀. Again, awesome milestone!🏆

  7. I *think* they're around $8-10. Hahaha, I honestly don't pay attention, just sign the bar slip. We get ours at the Atrium/Lobby Bars. Sometimes(not often) they have them upon boarding at the lil table set up to try to sell Bottomless Bubbles... They keep soda, tea, lol even my Hubs beers, cold a good long time. They are double wall insulated. The 2 blue ones in the center, are coffee cups, with aluminum (I believe) wall inside and a tight rubber gasket screw on lid and tight rubber seal also on the flip-cap(?) closure. Those REALLY keep drinks hot or cold longer. We'd NEVER use those for sodas/beer because of the tight seals. Coffee, tea, ice water, ect stays really well. Those we get at the coffee shops. They're smaller capacity then the all plastic cold cups by 2-4oz. Long winded, but I hope this helps. A bit at least.😀

  8.  This is the one for bottomless bubbles, or it can just be bought onboard at most any bar. We have blue, green, orange, aqua, plus of course this red one. We've also got the blue shark water bottles and the tumbler with the lid/straw. The lid on this bb one is a push on, with a very tight rubber gasket. The lid "spout" slides open and shut. Our Grands and son(2/10/7) all use these on cruises for soda, mostly because it's not an airtight seal on the sliding top, so if they shake it or drop it, it won't turn into a huge mess. The little one uses the Stephen Joseph shark tumbler for juice also. The boys all 3 use the shark water bottles onshore. {Yeah they're all spoiled rotten 😁} Hope this helps some. Lol, as I reread it, it IS kinda confusing. I don't know tech words to describe it.

  9. No, you cannot bring your own water aboard. You can buy it BEFORE sailing on Carnival's website. There's a link in your cruise mgr that will take you directly to the fun shops, already with your booking info inputted. It's $4.50 a 12pk case... Sodas are allowed. One 12pk of 12oz CANS only. No more bottles whatsoever. You can ALSO bring 1- 750ml bottle of wine or champagne, per adult.

  10. Cruisin trkrs,

Be curious what you find out. I'm assuming 10/23 was last year. And given the way Carnival has done with cut backs, might be the case. We haven't sailed Carnival since 2016. But I'm going by what I saw on the Breeze and Dream in the past.

No it wasn't last year. I'm sorry my mind's apparently gone awol. My Hubs calls it Woman-Flooded-Itis. Anyway, I'm not thinking straight. It was just last week that we got off her. Sat. Sept 22 boarded. 9/23 was first SeaDay. I apologize for my mistype. We left an almost flooded home, came back to having to boat to our home, down our street. Flooded. Power off. Office/Son's schoolroom completely flooded, Ect..... So my head is definitely not quite clear at all. Living on the river is usually wonderful. Not so much right now. Maybe never again.

I should not be responding to anything... I'm sorry. I will definitely let you know what I find out in February though.

  11. I don't know where you got the idea that the Lido coffee is a powdered coffee flavored drink beverage. Sounds like the "powdered eggs" myth. I've seen the staff make the coffee in the urns. It is brewed. It is ground coffee. At times staff in the MDR, especially in the mornings will come up and pour coffee out of the urns into their pots. The pots in the MDR are not brewed individually but in smaller urns and they use the same coffee as on the Lido. At one time all coffee used on Carnival ships was from Lavazzo. Not sure if that's still the case since the coffee shop went to Starbucks.

As someone else opined, it's the coffee/water ratio used that causes coffee to seem stronger in one place than another. On the Lido, they have markings/ fill to lines for how much coffee to pour into the urn. This is set to be approximately what an "average" coffee drinker's ratio would be. Since we're all above average, for many of us this isn't good enough.:D

Coffee as a rule can "last" about an hour in a pot before the flavors start getting burned. So if you hit the Lido at 8 and get coffee from an urn brewed at 7:30 it's going to be different that someone get coffee from the same urn at 7:35.

The coffee from the coffee shop is an expresso blend, ground right there. "regular" coffee is merely an "Americano", expresso and additional water. But the coffee/water ratio is more close to what coffee makers recommend.

Those comparing Carnival to RCL, while I'm not sure what RCL uses up on the Windjammer, because we avoid that place like the plague, but if you're just looking for black coffee or putting in your own cream and sugar, The Solarium. The Park, and the Plaza all service Seattle's Best ( sub of Starbucks) in smaller urns. At no charge. No need for a coffee card unless you're going frufru or looking for fancy cappuccinos.

    {Where I got the idea from} ->

Directly from an Ecstasy's Lido staff member on 10/23. He(Jogi(sp?) was pouring the "powdered lemonade flavored drink beverage" from a 1/2 gal carton, which mixes with water to make the drink. There was also a powdered tea flavored drink beverage (which I drink on every single cruise and enjoy it) carton sitting right next to it, I asked him about the coffee also, since Lido coffee had always tasted(((to me anyway))) like Sanka or similar. He said "same as those".(((Although I did not personally see said carton))) Our headwaiter(tress)in mdr (NiNi(sp?) said basically the same...

I can only go by what I am told. Not a big deal(((or even a small one))) since I don't drink it at all.

Just offering opinion on what I had tasted years ago(ugh) AND what I'd just been told on our last cruise. I'm not a coffee expert, Lol not even close. So I can only, again, go by what I'm told. You state different than what they both did, and I have no reason to doubt your version either. I do however, intend upon investigating deeper this coming Feb on The Breeze, as my crazy curiosity has been aroused re this matter[emoji848]...

I won't even try to be unkind or of a conspiracy theorist genre. Because I'm not. Nor pulling nonsense that has naught to do with coffee out of the air either, as a ?... I choose to remain polite towards all and believe in that Golden Rule.

  12. The only palatable coffee (((to US))) on any carnival ship is from room service or the mdr, they're both actually brewed and not really bad at all...

On Lido the coffee is powdered "coffee flavored beverage drink", same as the lemonade and tea.

The specialty coffee shops are awesome. Lol, I sure do wish they had a coffee pkg. My Hubs says I spend more $ there than most spend on alcohol.[emoji16]

  13. If they walk down to Junkanoo Beach, keep walking past that to the end, there is the "Fish Fry". They serve the most amazing Conch(((according to anyone we've gone with, I'm highly allergic to shellfish))). If it's at the right time you can watch as they swim down to catch and bring up some of the shells with the Conch inside. Lol, our son and grandson love that part the most.
