Terrible story:

Deck 12 is the running track and that is where my husband and I go for peace and beauty in the morning. That boy and his family will be on my mind for sure. -
I'll be posting from LOS after we get settled and will give an update on how it all went. Since a poor kid went overboard , there may be other delays in their return to POM.

I VERY MUCH appreciate the heads up about the boarding and have totally made my peace with checking the bags and heading over to Bayside to watch the game without angst. I canno timagine how upset we would have been to wait in chaos AND miss the game. We waited in March and it was not pretty.
I do have the same question- is 3:15 too late? -
I have heard that because there are so many non-USA passengers onboard Liberty this week that customs is going to cause a huge delay in emptying the ship this Sunday. We are trying to get aboard in time to watch the Ravens game at 1:00. Has anyone experienced this?? Anyone have advice??? Also does anyone know if the cruise terminal has WIFI?

We loved Ivan's Mayan tour before the hurricane but when we visited last year we found the beach chair and cold drinks route to be very nice. Basically free if you drink and eat from the sponsoring restaurant.

I have been driven crazy by the supposedly free shuttle at FLL. One time it never came- turned out it doesn't run until noon. Last time, they denied us boarding because we rented from one of the two companies that don't participate. Meanwhile the Broward County web site plainly stated that there was a shuttle for all. This time- next Sunday- we will pickup the baggage and TAKE A CAB. I don't want my vacation to start with that kind of hassle again.
Late Embarkation- Liberty this weekend

The official reason- everyone gets full customs treatment after Belize- not just non-USA citizens. They get fingerprinted also.
So far- wonderful cruise although 2 sea days in a row seems a lot .Staff has been great- food as always. Went to wine dinner at Portofino last night – highly recommend that experience. The only slight disappointment is that the Schooner Bar piano player is not as good as ones past. Technically competent but not such a showman and seems a little jumpy. Oh well…….
Btw- very slow to get online - sometimes it takes 10-15 tries! So many electronic tools onboard- crowded internet!
