Finding the same as you - just cruised yacht club Seashore and want to book yacht club Seascape in November and prices are $1,000 more than what I had paid - might pull the plug though - would be annoyed if they went up - btw how did you get the $100 off email?

MSC sent me an email on 4/8 with "an exclusive e-coupon" to be used by 4/12. I am probably going to book. There are so many deluxe balcony YC cabins available 4 months out. But from the responses I got here, doesn't sound like prices will go down.

Thought about booking an inside YC and upgrading when and if an upgrade offer came in, but they look substantially smaller and with a 6'1" husband, think we would get in each others way.

  2. We just cruised on the MSC Seashore for the first time this spring out of Port Canaveral 7 day to Mexico and their island in YC. Want to book another out of Brooklyn in late August to Burmuda. Want to do YC again, there are a lot of cabins still available 4 months out. The price is about $1000 more from our last cruise for a 7 nights. Will prices go down? Any suggestions will be so helpful, I got an email to give me $100 off to book by tomorrow, just not sure if I should wait to book?

Thanks for the tips I will further research the additional places you listed and post back with where we end up going.

We are trying to figure out where to go too. We have not been to Costa Maya and there are 3 additional ships with the Seashore being last in port. All arrive at 7AM and us at 8AM. Looking forward to your decision.

My family has cruised 10+ times.  We have learned to book off the ship for excursions to save money and have a really great time.  This was the first time we have had a problem.  We cruised to Costa Maya December 2023 right before Christmas.  We booked the excursion "Chacchoben Mayan Ruins and Beach Break Excursion" through costamayacruiseexcursions.com.  This is the only time in all our cruises that we have had a problem.  The guides took us to the ruins and never took us to the beach.  We kept asking about going to the beach and they said we would get there.  They put us with another group who did not have the beach break.  They decided to take them back to port and we had to ride along.  Then offered to take us to the beach.  We had to board in an hour and the sun was setting.  How much fun could we have had at the beach in less than an hour?  Food and drinks were supposed to be included.  The guide showed us a few options for food.  Also told me we get two drinks each.  The description states "The All-inclusive day pass offers guaranteed Beach Chairs and a beautifully shaded Palapa for relaxation."  So not really all-inclusive.  I emailed the company and the reply I get is basically "our policy clearly states you need to bring it up to the guide" so they don't want to take any responsibility.  My advice is to go with a different company.  We never got to see the beach, so I do not know how nice it is.  If your cruise also goes to Cozumel like most do, Paradise Beach was amazing!  Been to Playa Mia as well.  We prefer Paradise now.  The food service and drinks are excellent.

The tour group you used is not the same tour group that the OP was asking about. She is asking about Native Choice. I also am interested in Native Choice's Chacchoban Ruins and Bacalar Lagoon for our cruise in March. Any one out there that has done this tour, please let us know how it was, including the OP's questions. TY.

Yacht Club prices have risen for the most part but are still less than what NCL asks for the Haven. NCL has also raised prices so MSC still has the ability to offer a comparable product (Yacht Club vs Haven) for less.

It takes some work and a bit of luck to find a really good price on Yacht Club but it can be done.

Doing our 1st YC in March, hope it is as good or equal to our 3 haven experiences. We really like the NCL's theater shows, what is your thoughts in comparison to MSC?

We just got off Seashore. We were in yacht club. The ship had 4,500 people out of 5,500. It was packed. I walked around on sea day and every bar and pool chair was busy. The elevators were a mess. We will not do Seashore again. Way understaffed.

We will be on Seashore in March in YC, would like your veiw on you YC experience. Our 1st time on MSC mostly have cruised NCL 15X a few in Haven, which we loved.

I'm so sorry that @go.without.you and Janelle are having such a rough time of it.  I am hoping that this is a short-term issue with the ships transition from the Med to the Caribbean.  I suspect they did not have a full ship or crew on the TA, and it appears that they did not (or could not) get adequate staffing for the initial Caribbean sailing.  She is scheduled to sail out of here through at least October of 2025, so they had better take action soon.  From a personal greed standpoint, YC must be solved by March 3, 2024. 😝

YES! She will be tip top by then! Only comparing to NCL Haven, any cruise is a great cruise and hope this 1st cruise on MSC will turn into a 2nd.

You can call and ask for the discount to be added. Make sure that you have your Voyager's Club number and DOB since the rep will ask for it.

Before you hang up, make sure that the new total is correct (do the math yourself before you call) and make sure that you receive a new PDF in your email with everything correct.

The discount is applied to the base fare, not to the taxes/port fees.

    Thank you so much!

  9. I booked our cruise with MSC last Thursday. Applied for status match yesterday and just got the email that I am Gold with MSC. Is there a way to add my new membership to my booking to get the additional cruise discount, extra OBC and other perks? I have not done final payment yet - due 1st week of December.

Us too, first MSC YC in April after many NCL Haven trips. NCL price increases and across the board cost cutting measures have driven us to explore other options.

Agree, our MSC YC a lot cheaper than Haven. Won't get the free laundry and 4 specialty restaurants. On a 7 night cruise don't really need laundry service, and MSC YC dining changes every night unlike Haven, so may seem like a specialty restaurant each night.

  11. Just booked our first cruise on MCS in the Yacht Club. We are Sapphire with NCL. I have paid the deposit, final payment is due on Dec 4th. If I apply for status match, will I get the 5% discount? Do you know what the status match for Sapphire would be on MSC?

  12. Sailing on our second Haven cruise on Escape in January in a Forward Facing Penthouse. We cruised in the same stateroom in August on Joy. On the Joy I requested that all items in the mini-fridge be removed. I was checking today what the Haven Experience includes and this is one of them:

    • Mini-bar and deluxe coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine  - Does this mean that items are free in the Mini-bar?

From what I’ve seen, there is no behind the scenes offered any more. I am bummed by that as we became Platinum after our last cruise and was looking forward to that perk.

I am curious about the wine tasting though.

Was on the Joy end of August. No behind the scene tour. Wine tasting was offered but was mid morning (I think 10AM) so did not sign up. A bit too early for me.

We sailed in August and the only one that was still in place was the wine tasting. No dinner with the officers and no behind-the-scenes ship tour.

Same with my last cruise in August, only the wine tasting offered. Need to sign up early with guest services. Wine tasting was mid morning (I think 10AM) on a sea day. Little too early for me to want to start drinking wine, so skipped it.

Thanks for the cabin information and looking forward to sailing in this suite.  We are early risers so I  don't see the vibration and noise as a big issue for us.  We also walk a lot of miles every day and we always take the stairs.

Sounds like it will be a perfect cabin for you, as it was for us! We really enjoyed our first Haven experience. Being on a mega ship like this it really was wonderful having all the fun activities but we escaped to the Haven sun deck and observation area a lot. Enjoy!

Thanks as I'm thinking about booking this same suite cabin #.

We really liked our cabin. There was plenty of room with the large bedroom and seperate living area. I enjoyed having the window in the bedroom looking forward out on the ocean. The balcony was on the small size, 2 chairs and table really only spent time out there reading. 2 negatives,  it can be a noisy cabin when the Joy is docking. I don't know what causes it but there is a lot of vibration and noise, was only an issue with us if it was an early docking, you will not be able to sleep through it.The other negative is that it is a pretty long walk to the elevators and stairs and up 5 flights to the Haven. I walk an average of 5 miles a day so wasn't a problem for us and we always walked the stairs up to Haven. May be an issue if you wait for an elevator. I would book this room again. Let me know if you have any questions.

Please note that the "Zombie Brain Shot" on this list is not a standard NCL drink.  They will make you one if you give them the recipe but I advise you pass.  Its a terrible novelty drink.

Picked out a few for my next cruise, thank you for this amazing list!
