I was on the Beyond sailing in an Aqua Class Suite. I find the service on the pool deck average and the suite lounge a waste of time. One problem is the fact there isn’t any seats at the bar with a bartender which takes away from the experience immensely. Having sailed on the Norwegian Escape Haven and now Celebrities Retreat I would choose the Haven with no hesitation.

I was a suite guest on the beyond and ate at Blu twice. Both times we were seated right away and never saw a wait. Blu was our favorite restaurant.

I hope it was a good one without any issues. Says it 5% obstructed. Surprised a suite would be offered with an obstruction. We did move up and got that cabin from IV. First time in a suite on Celebrity.
No issues at all great cabin none of the creeping you have been hearing about. One nice thing about the forward cabin you can watch the Captain guide the ship into port.

Would you share your cabin number? We in that area also next month.
Cabin 10100 as forward as you can get, starboard side.

I cannot agree more with your post. Luminae was in one word terrible, it was a struggle to find anything to fit my Palate. We found Blu more appealing or the buffet. Also very hard to find deck chairs in the retreat your paying a fortune for benefits as simple as a deck chair and yet I had to do a search and destroy mission to find one especially on sea days.

We get one roll and never see the bread person again. 😞

What is the lounger situation in the solarium?
Their were a few empty lounges but not many.

Don’t believe what you hear. We just took a walk around the pool deck on a beautiful day and didn’t see one empty chair. Lots of towels on chairs without humans. Be prepared to get out early and stake your piece of real estate. While I hate chair hogs sometimes you have to play the game!!!!

Just when you think something couldn’t ever be worse, I can say on my 9th cruise in The Retreat tonight was the worst Lumine experience we’ve ever had. Literally walked out and told the check-in desk to charge our cabin for the Veuve Clicquot, we were leaving.
Lumine Night #2
🔸Bread Service: D
Received on my 3rd request.🔸Beverage Service: C-Received first order, Zucappa and champagne. Wine never arrived by the time entrees were served.🔸Food Service: BAfter getting up and asking someone to be our server, ours eventually arrived and I felt tried. We didn’t bother sticking around for dessert.🔸Overall: C-
Cheers from the Beyond Theatre to see Captain Kate et al. 🥂Based on your comments I’m glad I went to the Buffet which was excellent. I’m finding out more and more we’re a buffet couple, love the variety!

I’m on the same sailing as you I would agree about the menus. Besides that minor complaint I have to give the cruise so far an A+. Our cabin is all the way forward on deck ten just short of the bridge. Already I've had a few interactions with Capt. Kate via sign language from our balcony to the bridge.

I had the same problem last night, the issue has been fixed.

After reading this thread glad we’re in the Retreat.

It is a website issue many are complaining on Facebook.

Personally, I find this hard to believe, although she maybe hasn't heard any feedback yet, since she talks to people precruise?
Funny I’m in an Aqua class sky suite and haven’t heard a peep from the shoreside concierge. I sail in five days on the beyond. When I sailed in the Haven on NCL I got a letter, asking for preferences. I’m afraid Celebrity will not live up to expectations only time will tell.

I read that Celebrity has gone back to the original solo cruiser pricing. The enormous backlash made them change their course.

The Dress code mentions no Sandals in Luminae at dinner, does that include dress sandals? She can’t imagine all of the ladies in the retreat wearing closed toe Shoes.
-
How’s your experience in the Retreat? Crowds ? We were in the Haven on NCL and had a great experience if Celebrity matches 80% of that experience it’s a win.

On January 19th I’ll be boarding the Beyond for my first Celebrity cruise and retreat experience. I was curious what kind of crowds I can expect on the Sun deck and Luminae? I have been on the Haven on NCL and enjoyed the experience, no crowds, no waits for drinks and a wonderful restaurant where I waited 5 minutes at the most to be seated with great service.

In which type of cabin are you booked?
Generally speaking, call the number listed on the Celebrity website.
If you are a Retreat guest, there is a separate number you can use to reach the Shoreside Concierge. If you are on Sky or Celebrity suite, Shoreside Concierge will reach out to you over email closer to your sailing date. If you are on Royal Suite or above, Shoreside Concierge will contact you by phone closer to your sailing date.
Hope this helps!
I’m in an Aqua class sky suite.

Is their a special number for the pre cruise concierge or do you dial the general number listed for reservations on the website?

I won my bid from a sunset veranda and received a MC sky suite on 6🤬🤷♀️
I will make the most of it, do I have regrets? Kind of…..actually, in my haste to upgrade I never considered one of them.
im hoping to enjoy the retreat and luminae, although I have been hearing such bad stories of the retreat area being so overcrowded. Keeping fingers crossed.First I’ve heard of an overcrowding issue.

I put a move up bid on the Beyond. I put a bid for a Sky suite and an Aqua sky suite. I got rewarded with an Aqua Sky Suite. My regret, the cabin I got was all the way Forward on deck Ten cabin 10100. I’m worried about being all the way forward, and possibly the dreaded creaking I’ve been reading about on the boards. Anyone have any experience all the way forward on the beyond and this cabin.
