What are least crowded venues for breakfast and lunch because I've heard the windjammer is extremely crowded during those times?
What is the best complimentary restaurant for lunch and breakfast?
What would be the best day to book an Aquatheater show: first day, port day or sea day?

I have only cruised on ruby on higher decks and that seems like a good choice but the only problem you have to worry about is people looking into your cabin. I see you've sailed on crown princess so you'll be fairly familiar with the ship.

If your going on princess you can usually book 2 cabins across the hall to sleep 5 through your travel agent.

when I was on the star inside passage Alaska back in 2012 the common areas were about at room tempature.

Been on both, I'd say Star Princess because I like the covered terrace pool in the back of the ship because of sky walkers. Ruby is newer and has more passengers, but not more public area space. This means that the public areas are more crowded.

There also basketball courts, jogging track and mini-golf also for exercise on the ship

I don't now any spa treatments are the best. Ask this for all of Princess Cruises and you'll be more likely to find people who know about the specific treatment.

Aft cabins don't get as much seasick as forward cabins, if you ever been in the theater on most ships at the the front, you feel the roll of the ship. The only downside there's a little engine buzz.

I've been on the very similar Star Princess and I never remember a swim against the current lap pool. I have been to Alaska and the weather on the ship feels like 50 degrees in July. So it won't be warm enough to swim in. If you love pastries and sweets, definitely go to the international cafe in the piazza. Choose Sabatini's if you like traditional Italian fare. If you like lobster and premium steaks, then I'd go with the Crown Grill.
Mexican Riviera Carnival Splendor vs Ruby Princess?

do Ruby Princess because carnival has a lot of party and doesn't have that premium feel that princess does. If you like to party then do carnival and if you like to relax do princess.
