Did anyone who was on this cruise manage to get their flights paid for through their travel insurance. Mine was turned down as, "Claims caused by a government taking action to restrict travel, such as, but not limited to, locking down a geographical region, closing borders, or making your travel illegal" are not covered. If anyone from the UK was succesful would they mind letting me know who their insurers are (mine are Post Office Travel). Note that I've also posted this on the roll call. Thanks

To add to the confusion. I typically use Chrome which is largely OK for My NCL but it has had two issues which appear to be fixed now: When listing excursions in "Explore and Plan" - the title of the excursion and the port it related to were not consistent (i.e. an exursion for a port was listed as being for another port) When trying to scroll across each day in the "Itinerary Overview" in "Summary" it would scroll to the end rather than list the next 5 days This appears to be fixed now but it has always been OK in Edge for me!

I'd like to speak up for ISP. We did a whale watching tour with Glacier Winds that was spectacular. We saw humpbacks bubble-net feeding about 3 or 4 times. All the people onboard were so engrossed that we were disappointed when seal lions went swimming by hoping that they were whales. We also saw about 25-30 Dall's purpoises which swam in our bow wave for about 20 minutes. We saw dozens of sea otters too. However, the best thing was back on O'Sheehans on the Jewel. While we indulged in a well earned libation after our tour, immediately below us 4 massive humpback whales rose out of the water demonstrating their bubblenet feeding technique - it was breathtaking.

An option to avoid the steps/cable car in Santorini is to book this excursion https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/shore-excursions/JTR_59/Perivolos-Beach-Transfer- if you have free at sea then it will reduce the cost. You are taken to the old port then bussed to the beach then taken to Fira in the afternoon (in a bus). I tried this in Nov '23 but all excursions got cancelled so we had to tender with everyone else. We queued for 90mins for the cable car. We had FAS+ too so there was no cost for the excursion - but I'd try the same again in the same circumstances.

Can anybody predict when NCL may publish availability for cruises in Asia and South America for 2025? I asked an NCL employee on the on-line help and I was simply told to keep checking the website. Thanks in advance.

We travelled on the Jewel on 23rd May. We booked an inside cabin and got upgraded to a "Club Balcony Suite" on 21st May. On the day before I could see that our bid was "pending" on that category while the bids on Oceanview and Balcony were "cancelled". We bid the minimum on Oceanview and Balcony and £10 above the minimum for Club Balcony Suite.

We were on the Jewel 23rd-30th May. The outdoor pools were open and heated. We swam on two different days - it was perfect.
