  1. I sure hope you get it back. I know i left mine in the exact same place on my 2015 cruise on the Carnival Pride. I'm sure the room steward found it and turned it in. She vacuum up an ear ring that was on the floor and heard it and went through the vacuum bag and left it with a nice note on the dresser. So i have every confidence she turned it in. They told me that all of the left over stuff from the my cruise would not be shipped until the next sailing was finished. Filed a claim right after i returned home with Carnival. Never saw my IPad again. I sure hope you have better luck than i did. I feel it's sitting in some big warehouse that Carnival has for all the lost items.

  2. i went last year and did the once in a lifetime excursion. Booked through Carnival and did the float plane over to go bear watching. Oh my gosh was that the best excursion i have ever done. Pricey yes but once in a lifetime. Got to see a few bears grabbing fish out of the stream.

  3. here is what i found on Carnival FAQs

  4. I have been on the larger class of ships and i also only live about an hour away from the Baltimore port. Wasn't sure how i was going to like the Pride the first time on it, but it's a great ship. Love the layout. Everyone on her is super friendly and they make you really feel like a family on the ship. I think it's because they seem to know a lot of the people already on the ship. When i was on it 2 years ago when i ask if they had cruised her before must of my answers were multiple times or over and over. Getting from one end of the ship to other is like no other ship. No middle dining room so direct flow. I will be sailing on her again this July on her Bermuda run.

  5. One of these days I hope we will be on the same cruise. Thought about you guys while making my trip up to Atlantic City in January. Of course had to stop at Maryland House on the way up and on the way home. I'm on the Pride again in July for the Bermuda cruise. Can't wait it will be my first time there. It sounds like Ken might be on vacation when I'm on depending on how long of time off he has. He will be missed that's for sure. Just got off Harmony and did the same thing you did in Cozumel. We had Able and he was wonderful also. It's a nice ship but can't wait to get back to my Carnival where the crew seem happy and know how to have fun.

  6. They should call the insurance company to determine if they have to actually cancel the cruise or just do a no show due to medical conditions since they are not sure up until maybe the day before the cruise.

But as i stated in a previous post - my traveling companion did not cancel her cruise she just didn't show up at the pier to board. No communication with Carnival what so ever and none afterwards either. Carnival had her money for the cabin. She then contacted the travel insurance company and told them that she did not go on the cruise because her mother was admitted to the hospital. They asked for proof from the doctor verifying that her mother was in the hospital. Sad to say her mother did pass away the day we would have been arriving home from the cruise, for which i'm glad she made the decision not to go.

Cruise line did not lose any money, I did not have to pay single supplement. She got back port and taxes from Carnival and the travel insurance covered the rest of her out of pocket expenses for the cruise.

  7. In the situation that i described she was a no show at the port. Her mother wasn't admitted to the hospital till the night before the cruise. It was too late to cancel her cruise. I also stated that she had insurance. When i boarded the ship i didn't say anything. She was considered a no show when the cruise left the port. She had to work through her insurance to get reimbursed for the cruise. The cruise line had their money and insurance covered her expenses. She had to prove her case through the insurance company of why she couldn't go on the cruise. Why they don't want to go is not stated in the original post. If it's covered by insurance - some insurance is for any reasons and some have restrictions. But i was not charged a single supplement and it was up to my travel companion to work with the insurance company.

  8. If it occurs the day before the cruise when they decide not to go, then they should just not show up at the pier and you go and they will be a no show. If they ask you when you check in say we are traveling separate. Then they will have to work with their cruise insurance protection. This way cruise line still has their money and you will be the only one in the room. Go have a great time. The same thing happened to me the morning of the cruise. Of course my friend did have a good excuse as her mother was admitted to the hospital the night before.
