How awful@!
At the least, Celebrity should omit this excursion.
I know exactly what you felt. I did the same thing on our pool deck at home, right up to my hip.

We were suppose to cruise Feb 18th and DH came down with a virus the day before
We have always bought trip insurance and this time went with Travel Insured, thru our TA
We submitted all the paperwork asked for including paperwork from our physician 3 days after
We were told they were overloaded with claims and it would take a bit
Ok, we are patient
Just received our full refund, about 6 weeks
During this wait I looked up reviews for Travel Insured and read just awful experiences with getting claims paid. A little nerve racking …
I don’t know why I never bothered to do that before, as I am that person that does research 😊
With that said it is good to see the posts above about Travel Insured that are positive
Keep all paperwork from your TA, cruise line, receipts, everything
If you need to make a claim, you will need it

I will when we book.

Oh lol, too funny!
Great information, thank you -
“Not that sort of clientele”, what does that even mean?
We have seen some pretty wild people on Celebrity 😊
I know that they did offer the buckets before the pandemic.I am not sure about now
-
I find it interesting that the above wording states each guest is allowed two bottles of wine, not each cabin.
-
Thanks all
Same as our last sailing
i was just curious to see if anything had changed since we were last onboard, which has been a couple of years 😊
-
Thank you
We do not plan on getting a drink package.
The wine will not be taken to any dining venue
Perfect 😊
-
I assume Celebrity still allows two bottles of wine to be brought onboard?
Do they still charge the corkage fee when brought to the dining room or upon embarkation as NCL does?
Thanks ahead 😊

Always our to do when there
bring your snorkel gear also!
😊
South route is best

We don’t worry about the loyalty thing
Both lines are very nice
We have been on both multiple times
Caribbean Princess, 3 times
If you can hold out till Jan, Jan 6th, Celebrity Reflection, 8 nights and awesome ports of call.
Pricing right now is very good
Fabulous ship ❤️
You will enjoy either line -
Getting in that late, grab a rental and stay over in Orlando, then head to Miami

Just finished pricing out a sailing on Celebrity
For the regular drink package, tips, which are 280 per cabin, and WiFi, 1400 dollars more for the cabin..
Nope
Will go ala carte 😊

Big mistake not to insure every cruise, at least for medical evacuation. Even on a Caribbean cruise a medical evacuation back to the U.S. could cost $35K or more.
I so agree! Especially about the Evac
We always have travel insurance and had to use it for the first time three weeks ago when my husband came down with a virus Friday before our Saturday cruiseHe was pretty sick
You just never know
With insurance we will be refunded all of the money paid.

We were suppose to be on this weeks cruise but my husband became I’ll at the last minute
Our friends are onboard, which is Feb vacation week for many states
He said the ship is packed everywhere
Pool is crowded and loud
Had to search just for some peace and quiet
I did warn him when he picked this week
A ship that large should have more than one pool!
With the cutbacks and such, all that I have have be reading I think we are done with NCL
Back to Celebrity or Princess

Our son had his assigned the day after booking 😊
They booked about a month out

@janetz I hope your husband is feeling better.
When you cancel a cruise at the very last minute (or anytime within the 100% penalty period), NCL will refund all of your pre-paid, non-cruise-fare expenses, such as the service charges for the FAS beverage package and specialty dining package, taxes and port fees, shorex, the daily service charge if you pre-paid it, etc.
Assuming you have travel insurance and had to cancel for a covered reason (which seems the case here), that should take care of your cruise fare.
Hopefully 😊 Thank you
We Never had to cancel a cruise before
He is a very young, active 81 and rarely gets ill

So you cancelled a vacation for four (or more) because somebody had a 24 hour thing?
My husband is still ill…
He had a fever yesterday
Are we suppose to try and get on a ship while he most likely has a virus?
Yes, when we saw his doctor the fever was not there and he felt ok at that time, just tired
-
We will see what happens 😊
-
Thank you 😊
He did see the doctor before we cancelled as I stated
-
He did see he doctor on Friday, after being sick on Thursday
He was pretty good Friday
Doctor told him to go unless he spiked a fever, etc
After midnight Saturday, he spiked a fever again and still had it early this morning
So he did see his doctor and we will be bringing him some paperwork to fill out
So the process is started and he is still feeling lousy
Have not cruised since right before Covid
Our friends flew down from Mass to meet us at port, we were all so excited
Such a disappointment but better to be home then be onboard
-
Thanks all
The TA took care of it
My husband became ill last night around suppertime.
He was running a fever and a few other things
Cruise was today so we had to cancell and of course no one to notify until talking to the TA finally at 10:30 this am
So yes, a no show.
We have insurance and hopefully will be ok
How can you do the 72 hour thing when you get sick at the last minute?
First cruise in many we have had to cancel
Dining Times
in Celebrity Cruises

We are booked on the Reflection and early dining is waitlisted so we have 8:30 dining time.
Is there any way to switch that once onboard?
Thanks ahead 😊
