@hasentreelake Since you are onboard, would you mind sharing the names of the Captain and Cruise Director?

Honest question here... I always see people saying they put one on their door "so they can find their cabin if they're drunk" - but unless your door is right off an elevator lobby, how does that help you remember what deck you're on? It's not like you can see a flat magnet just by looking down the hall to make sure it's the right deck.
Well, I don't do it for when I'm drunk, but just to differentiate my door in a sea of doors that all look alike. (Plus it makes me laugh. 😉) Most people can find their floor just fine. It's more a matter of being able to find your door at a quick glance while walking down the hallways.

I've played on other cruise lines and it is generally a lot of fun. Usually 1 audience member is called down to "play" the game while the audience plays along with their cards.
Is it a waste of money? Of course. So is bingo but I play that every cruise too. 😉

My last cruise was on RCCL last year and my favorite bartender made a point of giving myself and my friend bottles of water and asking us to drink it before ordering another adult beverage. He also never let us leave the bar without a bottle of water in hand.
I thought that was the most gentle way to deal with a pair of drunks. 🙂

Are you removing the n?
I assumed the "o" in "count". 😉
I leave the remaining letters at the bottom of the door and don't mind others adding to the door (as you can see in the first picture). My biggest concern was someone being vulgar. If that happens, they'll be removed completely. Happily, everyone was very respectful.

Talk to the head waiter on day one, he will come to your table every night to pick the menu for the following night. If nothing on the menu is suitable they will prepare a special menu for you.
I have had similar experiences. I've taken 2 cruises since being diagnosed T2 - Norwegian and Carnival. The dining staff are very serious when they ask if there are any medical conditions or food allergies. I control through oral medication (no insulin) and diet so I'm VERY particular about foods and ingredients. (Carbs are my blood sugar nemesis)
Talk to the maitre d' at the MDR once you arrive on the ship. He/She will make note of your restrictions. You will most likely be allowed to look at each day's menu a day early to choose your dinner and can customize (within reason) to meet dietary concerns. I definitely recommend doing this each day for the next day so that the kitchen has time to customize your plate.
I never had a problem finding food I could eat and I never went hungry.

First aid kit (DIY, not premade), filled with everything you can think of - from the pain killers and motion sickness, to ace bandages, blister bandages, antiseptic wipes, and now extra Covid at home tests, every cold and flu type of med, Benadryl, thermometer.
A 7 day (or more) pill sorter works brilliantly for bringing medications. I use a large size and fill each "day" with a different med - ibuprofen, Pepto, Dramamine, allergy, etc. I then use a label maker to label each med. Compact and convenient.

Can you share what nights have which parties? (White Night, 80's, Glow, etc.)

Thank you for the update. We're booked in a Family Harbor Aft Balcony (2501) 10/1 so it's disappointing to hear about the vibration.
Can you tell me if the door is magnetic?

Just got back yesterday. Was there for a week and spent 3 days in town. Safety is being practiced everywhere, we always felt safe. Besides the masks, you'd never know that there was a severe covid issues. Americans were all over the place! The hotel we stayed at also cleaned 24/7, so we felt safe there also. Had our covid test 3 days before coming back and we tested negative. Can't wait to go back in Oct!
We were in Playa del Carmen over New Years and the first week of June and felt safer there than at home. There is no doubt that the hotels/resorts are taking this seriously. Constant cleaning, mask wearing, hand sanitizer everywhere, shoe sanitizers, tables spaced out at restaurants, etc. It was fabulous.

Oh wow! I don't think our cruise has many options, the MR. So I'm not expecting changes unless things get really bad in Mexico. I actually head out to Cabo tomorrow for a week, I'll scope it out 😉
Keep an eye on the Mexican Covid Traffic Light. That will tell you a lot for the Mexican ports and what will and won't be allowed. Which will impact ship itineraries.

1. The main complaint with the Norwegian app is that the connection drops and reconnects as you walk through the ship. (No, that's not how that's supposed to work). Instead, relaunch the app when you get where you are going (restaurant, show, etc.) and leave open. Your connection remains stable when you are in one spot.
2. If everyone feels like paying for the Social Media package (way more expensive than the app), then I HIGHLY recommend downloading and using WeChat. This app is huge in China and I can see why. My daughter and I used it when she was in China on a school trip and I fell in love with it. You can text, video chat, make phone calls, have group texts, send pictures, etc. Can you tell I'm a fan? LOL!

Oh trust me...you'll find a way to spend it. 🤣
Souvenirs, Bingo, Deal or No Deal, dinner show, new sandals after you go down flailing in front of witnesses near the pool because your current sandals apparently had no traction, excursions, ice pack for your bruises, macaroons, specialty coffees, specialty dining, etc.

Would love an update on your experience at this port at the end of the day. I know a lot of us have concerns over safety.
