The T&Cs now say no corkage fee if you have the beverage package, I will be putting that to the test on this cruise, not that I need extra wine but it's good to test the reaction.

I will be reporting live from this Gem sailing from Venice with lots of pictures I hope. We booked an inside but our bid of £90pp for a balcony was accepted on Wednesday 6th July (D-4) We need an Antigen test which we did from home on 7th July from home by video and have our certificates, aprox £20 a test from Qured. We fly British Airways to Venice at 6.30PM today from London Heathrow for a late check-in outside Venice in Mestre for an overnight before a train to the cruise on Sunday, we have a 10AM check-in but wont make that due the the train times, train is pre booked at 27 euro a head for the hour and a half trip to the port in Trieste. We will also be picking up some wine in Trieste to test the new (?) corkage system for those with a beverage package, will report back. After the Cruise which ends on Friday we will be spending some time in Venice and flying home on Sunday 17th. Let the party start 🥳

I understood that the first time, the problem is what you are being told does not match the wording in their T&Cs. Only the wording of the T&Cs can legally be enforced, it is a contract that must be followed by both parties.

I agree, if that is what they are telling people they should get their language right, it wouldn't stand up to scrutiny.

+1 for the pharmacy and they are very low cost too. Alternatively take a kit with you that you can do by video in your hotel room, they will be convenient but not as low cost as a pharmacy.

Yes you can, the app has a chat function and there is so charge, you just have to be connected to the ships Wi-Fi (no internet package required). The easiest way is to scan the QR codes on each others apps.

I agree with @KeithJenner especially if you end up with a Gatwick transfer, it's a pain to get to and a long trip to Southampton. National Express bus or train from central London is much quicker and easier. If they already booked the transfer and it's from Heathrow it's not much of a hassle to get the underground from central London to Heathrow.

I think anything you add before final payment will be included in the final bill so it should work. It's brilliant you can use it a second time on the same cruise 😂
