I am thrilled to discover this Duval Loop option! I love hop on-hop off trolleys and buses. Totally enjoyed my 8-hour transit in Miami one year thanks to the Miami Beach free trolley. Free wifi too for a girl who doesn't have data on her phone. Yes, we exist! Downloading maps and marking where to stop even as I type this. Thanks for all the information. 🙂
I hope you enjoy the Duval loop. If you have seen the video, then you have a good idea where it takes you. Have a wonderful trip.

Awesome videos. Even though I've been to Key West 3 times already, I watched them anyways just to drool at the sights.
Thanks.

Just FYI, the Duval Loop will cost $1 to ride once it reopens.
Just saw the article about it last night explaining the reasons. Sad to see it happen, but I understand why.

Thanks you, and you are welcome. I also have many Key West videos on my YouTube site that show how to get to several places, including one that shows how to get to Truman Little White House.

I was looking at some of the hop on/hop off excursions. In my research, I came across information about the Duval Loop Key West Shuttle which appears to be free. Would this take me to all the main points of interest? Hemingway House, Truman Little White House, Southernmost point?
Thanks in advance.
Closest stop to Southernmost Points one block away at Whitehead and United, Hemingway house stops are also a block away, as well as Truman Little White House. Here is a video I made that follows the routs and shows all the stops.

The shuttle is not a very long ride into town, and the only reason you can not walk is because it is owned by the Navy. I am sure you will not have a problem docking. Enjoy your shore excursion.

Curious if the pier at Mallory Square is still out of commission? I checked the linked schedule and on my date (2/17) they are only listing a ship at Pier B and Edge at Outer Mole. Seems that security-wise they would only want to be using that one if the other 2 are in use.
Mallory pier is in operation, but the ship size is the determining factor on which ships dock there. The larger ships use the Outer Mole and Pier B.

Doing Celebrity Edge to Key West. Is it easy to get around town? Is it walkable as you get off the ship or need of bus or taxi to get to town?
And also - would love help on how to take is to Hemmingway house.
Thank you!
Key West is fairly flat, so walking is not hard. Hemingway house is not that far of a walk from Pier B or the drop off area if you dock at the Outer Mole and take the shuttle to town.
Here are a couple of videos that will show you the way.

Great information! Thank you so much! We will be going straight from Fort Lauderdale to Key West and will be at dock B so it sounds like it will be a super simple on and off.
Here is a video that will show you B Pier and the walk over to Mallory Square. Hope it helps.

You might try this. google maps

In 2012 we were able to set up a guided tour, and it was fantastic to have many of the graves explained and told the differences in some of the fencing around them. The Historic Florida Keys Foundation has information on their web page.

Grumpy Husband in November on Holland Veendam says docking at M. (smaller ship)
Is that close to town? Thank You.
Here is a link to a live cam that overlooks Mallory Square, and you can see the M dock right there. Pier B is in the distance and is under maintenance until the 17th of August (2 black cranes and barges) and Outer Mole is the farthest away. The next ship to dock at Mallory will be on the 18th of August, and you will be able to see the set-up for docking there.

According to the Key West Calendar it will dock at B Pier which is behind Margaritaville Resort. If you walk past Margaritaville to Greene Street (Ends at the resort) and go over to the first street (Whitehead) and turn right, it will take you to Southernmost Point approx. 1 mile. With 2 ships in port, the line for pictures might be long.
Here are a couple of videos to show you the way. At 2:24 in the first video I pass Greene Street.
Hope this helps

Mark you are welcome and you can always check the KW ship calendar for what pier.

Forgot to say..Duval from end to end is 1.25 miles, so from Pier B to Southernmost point is just under 1 mile, and Hemingway House I would say is just past half way on the same street..Whitehead. It is also pretty flat so bike riding is not very hard.
Glad I could help.

Mark...we do a couple of trips a year to KW, and always ride bikes everywhere. There is always a place to lock your bike and the place you rent from provides the locks. Depending on where you dock, it is not far to a bike rental. Pier B has a bike rental as you walk off the pier. Wife and I always rent tricycles (not all rental places have them) as they have a bigger basket to carry your stuff with you and are more stable. We use Eaton Bikes and they deliver and pick-up so ours are at our hotel when we arrive.. Not sure if they work with the cruise ships or not.
I welcome you to look at my videos of Key West as several are taken from my tricycle.

Equinox typically docks at Pier B right behind Margaritaville Resort so no tendering. Here is a link to the Key West calendar.
Here is a video that shows the security entrance, but with construction going on at Mallory Square you can not walk down the bridge (at the end of the video) at this time. I also have this video that shows the piers from the air. Hope this helps.

Not having young children, the things that come to mind are..the aquarium, butterfly museum, and lunch at Waterfront Brewery as they have a family game room for kids. I have never been, but have heard good things about Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden.
You can always go the short walk to Lagerheads Beach bar for a quick swim to cool off. Here is a quick video to show you the way.

Cracked conch is conch breaded in flour and deep fried. Same conch as they make fritter out of.

There is only one port for the ships in Key West, but there are 3 piers. Mallory (M) at Mallory Square, Pier B (B) behind Margaritaville Resort, and Outer Mole/Navy (OM/N). The Outer Mole is on the navy base, and you have to use the supplied shuttles to and from the pier to Mallory Square. From there you can go anywhere, but you have to return to the ship on the shuttle, and there is a checkpoint before you get on the base.
Here is a link to the city calendar, but it may not show that far into 2020, and it is always subject to change.
Here is a video about KW beaches, but it shows the piers from the air.

Hello Dreamer68, yes it has been a couple years since I posted here, but my videos are still good and I do have several others on my Youtube page (Grumpy Husband) As far as conch fritters, try The Conch Shack on Duval Street between Front and Greene. I am not a fritter fan, but they do have cracked conch which I love and it is served with fries. As far as food, you. might want to try El Mason De Pepe's at Mallory Square for some good Cuban food.
