  1. I'm hoping that our cruise experience with NCL is better than the pre-cruise experience. For background, this is my first cruise with NCL after quite a few with Princess. We were looking for a Far East cruise early in the year and only NCL had an attractive itinery with availability, so in June, we signed up for a January cruise. With Princess, we could sign up for excursions 7 months before a cruise. Not so with NCL. We are only four months away from our cruise and they have only offered a total of 4 excursions for a cruise that has 6 ports of call. Princess EZ-Air has it all over the system offered by NCL. With Princess, we selected our flights and were able to choose seats, at the time of booking. Not only that but we could go into the EZ-Air system up until about 15 days before the cruise date and make changes to the air booking. These changes could be made without any additional 'administrative' charge; but there would be a credit or charge to the booking if the airline price had changed. With NCL, at the time of booking, there was a $250/per person, non-refundable charge, if cancelled or changed. In addition, again, we are only four months away from our cruise and cannot select airline seats. I was told that it would be at about the 60-day point before we could select airline seats. Sure hope that our cruise experience with NCL is better than the pre-cruise experience which has been disappointing, at best.
  2. I haave really enjoyed the 7 'pages' of information about, and tips for Singapore. We have to wait 6 months to visit but are really looking forward to it. Thank you, everyone, who contributed.
  3. Yes, it is the Spirit. As this is my first NCL cruise, I am a little reluctant to privately book excursions.
  4. I have booked a Far East cruise for January 2025 and, as mid-July, no excursions are posted yet. Is this normal for NCL? If not, to whose attention should I bring this matter? Thank you.

  6. We haven't cruised with Princess out of San Pedro for a year or so. I noticed that, on our next cruise, they were listing 'blue' or 'green' boarding stations. Have they discontinued a boarding station for platinum/elite class guests? In anticipation of your knowledgeable answer...........thank you.

  8. I am wondering if anyone else is getting as frustrated as I am, trying to use the Princess website. For starters, logons are rejected multiple consecutive times, supposedly for logon ID or password problems, when the logon ID and password are correct. Then it says, if they are correct, it might be a technical difficulty, try again later. What kind of response is that? And I have been experiencing this for four days. Note: I was a manager in the computer industry and I would have been fired if I could not do better than that. Once you are fortunate enough to break through (after many, many attempts, I might add) you run into a situation where the system kicks you off after a certain period of time. This is most frustrating when attempting to learn about, and book excursions for an upcoming cruise. How can a company expect to stay in business if it makes it so difficult for its' customers to purchase the product? Perhaps Princess wants to do away with the website and make users use the 'buggy' Medallion app? I am a long-time Princess customer (Elite category) but I am very frustrated with their approach to customer service (yes, an operational website is customer service - if you don't believe me, check out Amazon.com). There are many other excellent cruise lines; I need to find one that does not make me work so hard to purchase their product.
  9. We are soon to embark on a Princess cruise on which my wife is platinum class (one cruise shy of elite) and I am elite class (first cruise after reaching elite). Assuming that the free laundry perk will still be available next month, does anyone know if my wife will also get free laundry service? Thank you.
  10. So what happens when the Enchanted arrives in N.Y. a day early. Does Princess put people up in NYC for a day so they can catch their regularly scheduled flights. Or do the passengers stay on the ship until the cruise would have ended.
