  1. One good thing about my cat Leonard is that he has absolutely zero interest in human food. He'll walk right by without a glance or sniff.
  2. LOL. Sometimes what I'm thinking in my mind isn't what my fingers type. In my mind, I guess I thought I was asking our CT & RI friends, including a lighthouse loving doctor @Ocean Boy, if they would recognize it. While it may be a local landmark, it probably isn't world famous enough to be recognized by all.
  3. And to think I was in your neighborhood this past weekend. Well, close by. Mohegan Sun Casino. Of course, my idea of serving drinks is opening a bottle of wine or can of beer. Maybe Vodka & Cran if I'm feeling adventurous. A few pics. Mohegan is a beautiful casino . Everyone's favorite Heidi 😍 when she was done clapping, the win was around $100. That's my idea of a big win. 😁 Monday was just too nice of a day to be inside so took a little road trip to watch the ferries. Obligatory lighthouse picture. Anybody care to guess where?
  4. What's funny is that ever since I booked my cruise, which is fast approaching, I'm spending less time here on CC. I guess preparing for an actual cruise is giving me my "cruise fix". And yeah, nice weather means less screen time too
  5. I get it. Sometimes I get sucked into the rabbit hole that is CC. Hope he returns soon. He is missed.
  6. There are a few .99 cent Pizza joints around where you can get a slice for...not 99 cents but for $1.29. (Supply chain, pandemic, minimum wage, etc. The usual excuses). Be forewarned, it will taste like what you think a .99 cent slice would taste like. Think Sorrento's @ 2 am 😁
  7. @Momof3gurlz Add me to the list as well. For my upcoming flight to MCO, I had a choice of JetBlue or Breeze as Delta & United were too expensive. I seriously considered Breeze which was a bit cheaper but in the end, choose JetBlue. I used to be a big fan of JetBlue so for the extra $30 or $40, I decided to go with the known product. Curiously, Southwest does not offer non-stop flights from the New York area to MCO.
  8. There is a house on my street for sale. Neighborhood could use an ambiance upgrade. Cape Liberty is less than a 90 minute drive away. Just throwing that out there. 😉
  9. The smart guest will order 2 drinks right away & then as soon as they finish the first one, order the next. That way they will never have to wait. 😇
  10. A friend of mine unknowingly booked a pool view room. An early-to-bed and early-to-rise person. Big mistake. The band played right outside kept them up until the wee hours. They tried to relocate to the other side (street side) but the resort was full.
  11. I haven't been on the world cruise thread in ages but if that were to happen, I'd been checking in every day....maybe every hour.😄
  12. @Jimbo last post was 17 days ago. Did he graduate to the Advanced Monopoly games that last for a month?
  13. This is the one available for my cruise. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/shore-excursions/cur/willemstad-curacao/snorkel-trip-to-turtle-bay/cul9 I read some reviews at the "other" blog site and none were favorable. Despite the name Turtle Bay, turtles were not to be seen.
  14. That's a neat trick that the scammer gave you a call back number so you could "verify" that it's not a scam. All it would do is connect you to another scammer that is sitting next to original scammer. I just got text message from NYC saying I have an unpaid parking ticket balance of $2.50 & a link to pay it before a $25 late fee surcharge kicks in. First of all, $2.50??? Unless it's from 1970, I'm pretty sure any ticket from the great City of New York starts at $50 & increases in increments of $50. Second, every speeding & red light camera (I sometime forget No Right on Red in the city) ticket has been sent in the mail to me. Thirdly, the text came from a Montreal, Canada area code. But most importantly, when I went to the NYC official website, the link to pay for tickets wasn't even close to the name of the link sent to me via text. Nice try, scammers. Not!
  15. Too bad, it would have made a nice way to spice up a conversation next time there is a thread on the main board complaining how you can no longer get an unlimited amount of lobster on Lobster Night. 😆😉 FWIW, I don't eat lobster. Not a fan plus it's way too much work for a small amount of meat. I'd probably expend more calories than I'd consume trying to eat it.
  16. After watching that video, it does make a beach break tempting. Royal does have two snorkel excursions from the Blue Bay Beach area, one of which is combination snorkel & beach break at the Blue Bay Beach Resort, so that is an option. The other snorkel excursion from BBB is.... ...snorkel with the turtles. It is also advertised as leaving from the Blue Bay Beach area but at only 3 hours long & no mention of beach time at the resort, it's a catamaran only snorkel excursion. Still, hard to pass up spending time with wildlife & it's turtles! Also like to thank @Ocean Boy, @Tree_skier, @Arzeena, @cruiselvr04 & anybody else I may have forgotten for their suggestions as well. Depending on the times of the snorkel excursions, I may try to see if I can sneak in a cave trip as well, either thru Royal or on my own.
  17. Speaking of my upcoming cruise, I'll be visiting Curaçao for the first time. This is the one island I may leave my friends and strike out on my own. Any thoughts on excursions? Right now, I'm thinking either a snorkel or catamaran (or both) excursion or a sightseeing and/or cave tour. Leaning toward snorkeling right now since this is probably the best (and only) island to do that. Aruba & Perfect Day are beach days with friends which is why I'm shying away from doing a beach on Curaçao. Unless they are really spectacular. I'm there from 11:30 am - 8:00 pm. There is a pub crawl excursion that visits 3 pubs but since I've already bought the drink package, this might my my one "day off"* from drinking. Any other options I should consider? * - meaning I plan to drink slightly less than the other days. 😇
