I always make sure that the cabin is only for two people. Those bunks can be brutal.

That is why we always book a specific stateroom every time.  We never do a guaranteed booking.  We want to know what kind of stateroom and where it is located.  Especially now at the price we are paying for them.

  2. That is the problem with the Royal class ships is that interiors are really cramped.  We like the Grand class ships, especially on deck 5.  Your close to everything, and you only have to go up one level to get into the cabins.  Also, I do not know if it is on all Grand class ships, they have interiors that are a little larger and have walk-in showers.

Did Mystic Man several years ago, we all enjoyed it very much, in fact we still talk about it today.  9 people would be about the minimum they would take.  I believe at the time it was a little cheaper 10 or more.

I think the juice bars are supposed to open around February 20th.

That make since.  With all our cruising on Princes, we do not remember seeing our hearing about a Juice Bar.  It will be interesting where they will locate them.

  5. DW and I have been on the Princess Emerald last year.  We will be on the Emerald soon and on this cruise, we purchased the Beverage Pkg which includes the Juice Bar.  We are wondering where the Juice Bar in located on the Emerald??  Or any Princess Ship??

    Thanks in advance.

I am searching the Princess site and don’t see this anywhere.

I forwarded to my agent to see if she can find out if I qualify.  Booked Dec 17 th so it’s within the timeframe and my military credit shows.  But is just says Plus is included.

I would check your booking.  I told our TA to book our cruise with the Plus and see if they would upgrade it to the Premier package with the Military Benefit.  Princess told my TA it was already upgraded.

that does sound awesome.  i have added this note to my itinerary and will definitely check once on board, to see if it available.  thanks!

It sure is.  When we did it last February it was only being done at the FLL airport and because of COVID it was only for domestic flights.

I have a friend that just booked a cruise and he is listed on Princess as getting the Veteran OBC.  I told him about the promo and his TA (also my TA) contacted Princess and they told her there was no such promo.  My husband is also a Veteran and I did a mock booking on several cruises and non of them had this promo applied.

Did your husband book it as a Premium Plus package, also is he getting the Military Benefit now??  It looks like this is just an upgrade to the Premium package for the people who are now getting the Military Benefit.

Do you have to have booked your flights with EZ Air to do this?  I have a 2pm AA flight from FLL to California, booked independently.  Would I be able to use this service?

No - When we did our cruise last March on Delta it was booked through our TA, not EZ Air at the time.  At that time, it was just for domestic flights and just be sure you have your documents that shows your booking number.  It was the best $25 we spent on that cruise.  There were 5 cruise ships in FLL that Sunday and we were the last ship in port.  You should have seen the lines when we went into the airport.  All we had to do was show our boarding pass when we went through security.

He's been getting the Military benefit for years so don't know why.  Inquired about it as we had a casino rate to use and was told it could not be combined with the casino rate.  Very confusing as to all the different ways this can be applied and how many ways it can't.

All this promotion is an upgrade from the Princess Plus to the Princess Primium Package.  I do not why Princess made this so confusing.  There is no end date, so is this going to be a permanent benefit??? 🤔

A section of the Theater will be set aside for those eligible to sit there with the Premier package. The benefit is to sit in that section, not for specific seats.

The section will not be able to hold all those eligible to sit there, so it will be first come, first seated.

And if any seats are not yet taken, x minutes before the show they will be opened to everyone.

Of course just like Princess has its own ideas about the best cabin locations and many passengers do not agree, those eligible for this seating area may prefer to sit in another area they like better.

The benefit for us would be, that we would not have to wait in line 30 - 45 minutes before the show starts to get the seats we want.  As you stated it all will depend on where Princess decides to where the section will be located.

Never received a letter regarding this promo and my husband is a veteran.

If he is getting the Military benefit now, he should have gotten a notification of this new benefit.  If y0ou are going to do a new cruise, I would defiantly ask for it.  That was the main reason we booked our cruise now instead of later.  If we can get a better deal later, we will re-fare it.

If I might ask, is your itinerary one of those I listed at post 137? Also, is there anyway your TA can provide you with that offer Princess sent out to all of their Military Benefit cruisers, of which none of us have received (except for the OP)?

No - on the itinerary post 137.  But it is on the Emerald for the14 day Caribbean.  My TA did not know of this offer.  I sent her a copy of mine, which is the same that has been shown first on this thread.  We have been looking at this itinerary for a long time now and did not think this promotion was good enough, we are not big drinkers and were deciding on the Standard or the Plus package and were going to wait to see if there would be a better offer later.  The TA put in the booking and that was the response she got from Princess.  Our TA just submitted the booking like she normally does and didn't have any problems.

  14. Just booked a 14-day cruise for Feb 2024.  I asked my TA to book it through the Princess Plus package and see if Princess will upgrade it to the Princess Premium.  When my TA confirmed the reservation, I asked her if Princess upgraded us to the Premium package.  The TA stated, "it was put on your booking because you had the offer as a veteran" and also the $250 OBC.  Apparently, according to my TA, Princess sent out the offer to all their Military Benefit cruisers.  Since there was no expiration date, I hoping this will be a permanent benefit.

My stock is in a IRA in my name only, so I can't change it. So I'm stuck with the $500 shareholders and military OBC both in my name. If you have joint ownership, it's definitely a good idea to split it the way you did.

As cheap as Carnival stock is right now, open a joint account and just buy or if you can transfer 100 shares.

That's good to know. How far in advance of embarkation day was your TA's OBC perk added to your account? Also, was the TA's OBC evenly divided between each of the guests in the cabin or just to Person #1 on your bookings?

This is true if you try to book and pay online, but it is not completely correct. A Princess telephone representative can use OBC for one passenger to pay for shore excursion for another passenger in the cabin. I get both military and shareholder OBC, so I have a lot more OBC than DW, and I've done this many times. If the telephone rep you speak to doesn't know how, speak to someone else.

I have the same military and shareholders OBC.  At first Princess put both in my name.  I have the military OBC in my name and since the shareholders OBC is in both our names, when I send in the statement for the shareholders OBC I make sure Princess put it in DW name now.

  17. We have for years used private transportation while in Fort Lauderdale.  We always have used Howard Transportation (ridehowardstransportation0099@gmail.com), he has been very reliable and reasonable.  Howard picks us up at the motel and drops of off where Princess loads the luggage.  He picks up at the port (we do an early walk-off) and he takes us straight to the airport.

  18. Last Feb  our Princess ship docked at 7am.  We did a "Walk-Off" with our luggage as soon as we could, we had private transportations pick us up as soon as he could, he had us at Delta's terminal in about 10 minutes, we had TSA Pre check and were at our gate before 9am.  We have done this many times before and we are always at our gate before 9am.
