I believe the policy changed for bookings made after Mar 31, 2022. Where you used to get your deposit back minus a $100 pp charge, this has been changed to losing all of your deposit (a true non-refundable). So to answer your question, it has a lot to do with when your booking was made.

I am on the Apex for Sept 1 in British Isles and when I go to look at my reservation it will change every day even though I have proof I have paid in full.
One day I owed $80, next $700, then it was paid in full for a couple of days and now today $880. I have not made any changes to this since this has been happening so I dont know why the website keeps deciding I owe more (of course, never that THEY Owe me a refund 😂) When I talk to the Retreat customer service (in a suite) I get told that they show my balance is paid in full and they dont know why it keeps changing. My main concern is that I dont want to get to the port and all of a sudden the website has decided I owe money again. I guess I am just frustrated that a company that brings in so many billions a year cant have a website that works decent. If you have the option to check in, then you are paid in full. No full payment=no check-in. FWIW, my reservations all show balance due in USD even though it is booked in CAD.

Given the timing of the Panama cruise, I would lean towards the Rio cruise. My opinion is that your chances of encountering rough seas and inclement weather are greater in September.

On the Apex transatlantic last month, I think we had the better part of a day when the premium WiFi was not working at all. At other times it worked, but it was not impressive for the second newest ship in the fleet.

Newest or oldest in the fleet has little bearing on the supplied signal from a satellite provider. You can have the latest and greatest on board, but you are at the mercy of a third party to connect you to the rest of the world.

That works both ways. They don't come running to you for more if the port fees go up.

A solo cabin does not qualify. You only get double points if you are paying for two guests.

This happens quite often. It is a crew drill.

There are no infinite verandas on any M or S class ship.

We were on her between Singapore and Rome and they had contractors on the whole time while they were rewireing the complete ship to support the app. We had a Zenith lunch with the Captain and his Senior Staff and he spoke of what was going on just before she went into Dry Dock. This was in April 2017
Guess I learned something new today. Thanks.

Here's the rub. Even if the CDC drops the requirements, that is no guarantee that the cruise lines will stop mandatory testing. They visit many foreign ports that may still have them. The CDC removing the requirement will be a moot point for the cruise industry.

Could Celebrity be far behind?

Given that the partnership is with Royal Caribbean Group and not Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, it would most certainly include Celebrity.

What it comes down to is that a move like that may be an upgrade to you, but since it wasn't a "bid upgrade", it becomes just a reservation change to them and therefor the repricing is contingent on using the current price offerings for the new cabin.

Is the ArriveCAN still required. Are my vaccination cards sufficient?
ArriveCan IS mandatory to enter Canada at any point of entry for al travellers.

Our refundable deposit for our 2024 cruise was only $180 total more then non refundable.Well worth it for us, as I have the option to price adjust if I get a better deal between now and then.
The option for price adjustment is not reliant on refundable/non-refundable.

Deposit is 480 cdn so maybe 400 US? I don't know if i'm charged more as solo traveller, you aren't with royal caribbean. Good idea to check cost of refundable deposit.
That's the normal deposit up here per person, solo or $960 double occupancy.

Rome to Barcelona homeport is Rome. Barcelona to Rome homeport is Barcelona.

Absolutely go the day before. Just a note that you will go through customs at YYZ, not FLL.

Not so. Airlines have the right to revise their schedules. Usually they will work with you to find a better schedule if their new one is unsatisfactory,
I think the issue here is that the original flights are still available on the airline side of things.

To the OPs point about the long wait at the MDR for a table, it has always annoyed me that there are reservations taken for Select dining. In my opinion there should not be any, and the seating should all be on a first come first served basis. My understanding is that this is what the original intent was. You didn't have to commit to a certain time, you just show up at the time you want to eat on any given day.

The fact that you are Canadian has no bearing on filling out the app. You are still going out and will be returning to Canada. Just go online and fill it all out and submit prior to boarding.

I booked my cruise based on the offer of having drinks, WiFi and tips included. At the time of booking my cruise, I was told by the Celebrity cruise planner that the offer had to be added “at the back end” and that the offer would be added within 10 days. It’s now been 2 weeks and still no mention of included tips, WiFi or drinks on my booking.
Im starting to get antsy as my cruise is mere weeks away. Anyone else experienced this? I’m extra stressed as I don’t have anything in writing to ensure that I get my addons.
FYI, also be aware that "10 days" is always business days, not calendar days. Much like the 45 days for a FCC is actually closer to 60. But as noted previously, it should be on the guest invoice issued by Celebrity.

I was hoping Celebrity does these from time to time like Princess and some other lines do. Thanks in advance!
They have in the past. Given the demand for bookings now, it is hard to say whether that will return any time soon. If they need to prop up demand in the future they may well have a reduced deposit sale again, but there are no guarantees.
