Thanks. Is there any difference between an inside room and prime inside room? The price seems pretty good on the pacific coastal i’m looking at, but no obc right now.
I’m not familiar with celebrity. I know royal caribbean has a string of sales that aren’t really sales. Is that the case with celebrity? I’ve noticed some offer obc, not sure if that is a good deal.
I’m also interested if shared dining is offered on celebrity. I’m a solo traveller.
I think i asked this before but i didn't buy a cruisefirst at booking as i felt i may not use it.Cruise agent says you can't use after cruise has been booked. Can you apply on payment screen still?
The pacific coastal on april 7 2024 on princess is definitely not a double single supplement. Unfortunately as its pst final payment date rooms are pretty picked over. Also it appears only inside rooms are discounted.
Thank you. I am glad to hear its not a party cruise. I was also looking at a norwegian cruise in march and i’m thinking that would be more likely to be a party cruise due to spring break. Right now i’m trying to decide between a pacific coastal on sapphire princess or mexican cruise on discovery. They are very different ships and i am happy to hear positive feedback on this one. It would be nice to get some sun in the winter in mexico.
I’m looking at going on a mexican riviera cruise on the discovery princess. Just interested on what people thought of the ship? I haven’t sailed princess before. If you took a mexican riviera cruise did you enjoy it? Th ship seems quite large.
I note the spring 2025 pacific coastal cruise is about 40% cheaper than fall 2025. Could there-be something wrong with the cruise or is it just the time of year its going. Also an older ship the sapphire princess.
Someone on a solo celebrity thread had reported princess is charging more than 200% on the sun princess. I checked and this is correct, not on all cruises but quite a few. This is unfortunate. Has anyone noticed this happening on other ships?
Thanks both. Its so hard! Ships are very different. Mexican cruise is norwegian bliss which i like as solo gatherings but not its big size, pacific coastal is on sapphire princess and i like its small size, Maybe i’ll have to do both!
I posted in trip advisor and the san diego people didn't think fog was that big a deal. They said there is fog in early morning - it burns off - then fog late afternoon but not every day. Better fog than a hurricane!
I'm debating between a mexican riviera vs. pacific coastal cruise. I do have concerns that the pacific coastal cruise will be rough which is my hesitation regarding that cruise. For mexican riviera i mainly want to go to puerta vallarta and not sure about taking the whole cruise for that reason. I'm not so interested in Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan. I'm thinking for both cruises i could do land vacations instead but san diego and san francisco both have expensive hotel prices. The cruise i'm looking at the cruise is in port in san diego and san francisco 8-10pm so could see quite a bit. Anyways just thinking out loud here. Are there other considerations?
Its great to see singles scrutinizing their choices and i think thats what singles should do. I just want to add celebrity is being very shortsighted as right now the market is good but it may not be in the future and they may want solo cruisers again. By that time they may have moved on.
I have something that will counteract that last post. A travel agent in my city runs a solo travel group and one event she is featuring is someone from celebrity! I told her about what celebrity is doing and she didn't seem to care. I think they may go after cruisers who book through travel agents who don't know or don't care about celebritys pricing.
