We arrive Athens at 7am one day and leave at 6pm the next day (Ancient Adriatic Treasures). Day 2 excursions are offered. Day 1 nothing! All day in Athens and no excursions?

Manfredi's taking a lot of hits lately.

Wasn't as impressd with the split pea soup as others - probably because I make the best by far. And "real onion rings?" - is there some other kind?

We'd like to see the falconry but fear the declines (her) and inclines (me) might be too much. Anybody have any luck with private tours to falconry?

I prefer poached Chilean Sea.

What I'm asking: Is the waterfalls portion of the falconry excursion the same amount of walking (up and down) or more of a drive by? Can the walk be shortened or avoided?

I was asking about the falls portion of the excursion.

Haha, speak for yourself 🥰
But no, the falls in our opinion wasn't worth it. It's probably something you could see at a park not too far from where you live.
We could do the Falconry Centre over and over. So worth it, and if we were there again, we would do the Falconry Centre on a private tour without the falls.
Does the falconry excursion include the same amount of walking at the falls or is it more of a drive by?

Ever run into fresh shucked oysters aboard a Viking ship?

"Moderate" seems to be a broad description.

Particularly if you can't sleep on planes which makes the more expensive lie flat seats useless.
Indeed. Coach too cramped - business waaaaaaaaay too spendy.

On Star now. Rack of lamb not on menu.
Maybe just as well. I've yet to have lamb on a Viking ship that was not totally devoid of any detectable flavor. Not sure how they manage that but I don't think it's just me.

Who has done this excursion out of Split? Please weigh in on the amount of walking/difficulty and the excursion overall. TIA.

Agree, Dubrovnik wall is great! We also liked the included walking tour there, we did both of these. Be advised that there are over 1000 steps! We enjoyed the included tour at Olympia around the ruins.
We were in Zadar, and we really enjoyed the tour of the Krka Falls, which has been offered from Split. It’s a bit of a drive, but the falls in the national park were amazing, we love photography and nature.
Those steps have got to be killer for those with even slight mobility issues.

Call the Viking agent that booked your cruise, info is on your invoice. Or get help from the Chat on MVJ. If you used a TA, let them handle the questions. In any case, seek an answer from Viking. Maybe email Tellus@vikingcruises.com. ,the next level of customer service agents.
"get help from the Chat on MVJ'
Joke?

I think it was out of Valdez that we took an excursion to the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve. Stunning!

Be advised that there is just the one business offering these cruises. They are right where the ship docks. Book with them directly. The only difference is that you will be paying a great deal less than everyone else.

Look into Kenai Fjords tours out of Seward.

Sooner or later the popular tourist areas of the world will all be ruined by tourism (at least those which aren't already). I remember crossing the old bridge in Bamberg - up ahead were lollipops and their equivalent as far as the eye could see. Pogo had it right.
