  1. Hey Len, NCL takes 10% off the cruise at purchase for veterans. I get your point about the duplicity associated with honoring veterans.
  2. Hi Len, A dd215 is a correction to a 214. I have one. Also, Norwegian gives a flat 10% discount for veterans (retired or otherwise), all cruises. Appled at booking. They verify status using a 3rd party service, which took 30 seconds for both my wife and I (we're both veterans). Its unfortunate the RCCL does not do the same.
  3. Assuming no issues with disembarkation or road construction causing traffic back ups, you can be to SEATAC in 35-40min. Travel time is less of an an issue than getting through ticketing and security. If your departure is on a Sat/Sun, you can expect longer lines at SEATAC. Given that, the timeline is doable, but unforseen traffic or a high travel day could cause you some stress.
  4. Just got this in the email. Perhaps they anticpate the limited power generation to persist, to at least June 23 and are adjusting schedules accordingly? 5. $66.99 + Gratuity on my Anthem sailing in June out of Soutampton. Seems a bit lower than what other folks are posting, perhaps due itinerary (Norwegian Fjords).
  6. It's currently $9.99/day on my June Southampton departure.
  7. I personally never use a 3rd party to book hotel/air/cruise. If you get into a bind that could turn stressful, time limited or otherwise negatively impact your vacation, why add a layer of bureaucracy? That said, I understand cost is a factor. This is just a mehod works for me.
  8. Agree with CC Jack, smaller boat and during day so you can see everything. Beyond that, the tours are pretty standard. I personally enjoyed having a bar on the boat.
  9. I am going to bite the bullet and reserve with Blackberry, it was £217 (4pax), to Southampton. We are staying in London for a couple of days after the cruise, and we just ended up booking a last day excursion to Stonehenge that will drop us off back at LHR, where we'll have Blackberry transport us to London Proper. Reduced the return trip cost, but it was the crusie line is charging a pretty penny for the excursion. I have not used British Express.
  10. The Royal Loft Suite would suit your needs quite well, I would think.
  11. You're on vacation...Just wing it...
  12. We are trying Star Class (and Royal) this June for the first time. We have done MSC YC, Celebrity Retreat and the Haven. We prefer the Haven of the three we have tried. For us, YC is not something we will try again. The cruise line is just not for us. We are looking forward to seeing what Royal (and Star Class) have to offer.
