  1. Is excel class casinos larger than the dream class? I heard dream class was the largest casino. IIRC Splendor class had a pretty large casino
  2. I would say YES (sorry that’s the email I meant) but I submitted one last Thursday and still haven’t gotten a response…
  3. Don’t fool around; email casino@carnival.com let then get it all setup for you (or call them) PVP’s seem too stupid or can’t “see” casino offers (YMMV) EDIT: yup that’s what you did
  4. We’ve done this on a fantasy, spirit, and Splendor class; looking forward to more classes if they’re doing this tour again? Pretty neat to see the crew bar area haha although now that folks like Chris Wong have YT channels, there’s less “mystery” to what goes on, on Deck-A and below…
  5. Princess doesn’t have a bar in any of their main theatres (IIRC) that’s a “carnival” thing. (And only on the new/rebuilt main theaters..they actually made their main threaters much smaller, by putting in a bar..so that goes to show you the demographic of carnival)
  6. Haha id take 1Mbps download speed on a cruise ship all day err day! my average speed has been literally 100Kbps! (So 10x slower)
  7. Are those Hey Dude’s? man I wish I didn’t have deformed feet, they look so cool/comfy!
  8. IS carnival sending Radiance to Alaska?? Damn if so, sign me up!
  9. Living in California; we’ve had the opportunity to sail on all the CA ships (Inspiration, Imagination, Splendor, Miracle, Radiance, and Panorama) IMHO; for the 3-4 night runs to Ensenada our little slab-sided girl (the two fantasy ships) were perfect! The Splendor was VERY roomy feeling overall (although odd Pink Donut decor haha) The miracle is OK for 3-4 day runs..but on a 7-10 day on it, it just is too small (only dining choice is MDR, steakhouse or Lido deck) The Radiance is a GREAT ship..honestly for even longer than the 3-4 day runs we have it for. The Panorama (again JMHO) is waaay too cramped to sail on 7 day voyages. All of these ships we’ve been on with 100%+ capacity..the only one we FELT it on, was the panorama..it was just wall-to-wall people and the walkways were all maybe 3-across..throw a wheelchair in there or a scoter and forget it you’ve got a bottleneck. I think carnival should swap around the California fleet 3-4 night LBC runs: Miracle 4 night SF runs: Panorama 7+ night runs: Radiance
  10. That makes me wonder..every C staff I’ve ever known; just has an EA “filter” their email..however it does make me wonder when their email is so broadcasted..perhaps to “people in the know” they have a different email..probably like: Jan@carnival.com John@carnival.com
  11. That’d have to be the WORST..unless maybe on the last night..I can only imagine beer goggles…then being stuck on the same boat as that person for the next X amount of days… if “hook ups” are really a thing on a (normal) cruise..then…call me mindblown. (I understand “speciality” cruises)
  12. You’re right..looked at princess.com just now; and they’re showing up (so Wednesday after we left the ship 4 days ago)
  13. On older ships; there’s exactly ONE outlet in the cabin..on the Royal Class there’s still only one; but at least there’s USB ports by the bed (one on either nightstand) to charge phones. And..they let you take an instant pot onboard!? Are you cooking food in your cabin?
  14. Very specific..what type of room are they? we just got off the Sky, from B530…if I can be of any help?
  15. So I earned a free cruise, from the casino, while onboard the thanksgiving sailing of the Sky. We got off the ship on Saturday. I called the casino dept (which by the way is only open like 8am-6pm PST; as they’re ACTUALLY located in Santa Clarita) The gentleman I spoke (who was also CLEARLY a U.S. citizen) said offers don’t get loaded into the system that quickly; that I need to call back most likely NEXT Wednesday (a full 10 days after sailing) He said, it does seem contradictory that you “only” have 45 days to book it; yet it doesn’t ACTUALLY load until 10 days after it should. (Realistically like 20, because on the offer it says “any time after 11/19/22”; where they got that date I have no idea; other than it was the first day of that thanksgiving cruise)
  16. By “stay in touch” what do you mean? if you just need to be able to answer questions via messaging app (slack or otherwise) it’ll work OK…if you need to be able to connect to a VPN to upload/download files..you’re SOL.
  17. With the “plus” package it’s basically a gimme..as tips is $15 a day; so you’re really only paying an extra $35 a day for drinks and “some” form of WiFi… and that “internet manager” (LOL at the title) is 100% correct..pre-covid, no one really bought the WiFi package..post-covid..every.single.person
  18. The “Internet cafe” is no different in network speed, it uses the same pipe. While on ship, like others have said, no way in hell your daughter will be able to work. Best case scenario is in port using her cell phone as a hot spot..but she’ll need a data plan that covers Mexico (I know Verizon offers this)
  19. It’s actually not princess IT; they aren’t involved with ship WiFi at all. This is 100% on the Exec’s at princess and whatever they’ve negotiated with SES.
  20. FWIW; to stream HD content you need 4Mbps. (Doesn’t seem like much; but when you have 56k speeds…haha)
  21. The saddest part of that statement is a billion dollar company OUTSOURCES the creation of a MAIN STAPLE of their product…at least if it were built in-house; it may have been built by someone who ACTUALLY had been on a princess cruise. (Or even a cruise, for that matter)
  22. LOL; as a software engineer I 10000% agree with the app..like how in the HELL did it pass a 3rd party QA lab!? oddly, carnivals app SMASHES the hell out of “medallionClass”
  23. That’s weird AF that the upload is literally 15x faster than the download. (It SHOULD be the other way around?) all these latency numbers are VIOLENT haha. When you get into triple digits…it’s bad.
  24. No; it’s not. But if you ask for a “private table” they give you it. (Ie: a 2-top; or a 4-top)
