Appreciate this great question and follow-up. At the La Buche, the French-Canadian charming dining spot at 49, Saint-Louis St, that I mentioned and pictured earlier, I went back and checked. Yes, I went back and checked sweets menu. I found: SUCRE À CRÈME, Maple Fudge and TARTE AU SIROP D'ÉRABLE, Maple Syrup Pie. Would either of those work to feed your . . . maple needs? Really loved this dining locations' food quality and amazing atmosphere/style. At the D'Orsay Restaurant that we also enjoyed, their web menu shows that they offer: If these two locations offer it, my guess is that lots of other good places will have that option. Is is possible to walk from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore to Gardens by the Bay? Yes, but, if and maybe, with several "qualifiers" to consider. How warm and humid is it that day? From our three days there in late February and early March, most visitors need to adjust and plan accordingly for these "weather realities". Also, how good of a walker are you along a path a little limited in its shops, options, history, architecture and scenery. By my rough, approximate estimate, it would be a distance of about 9,000 feet, each direction. Or, about 1.75 to two miles each for going there and then coming back. Too far each way to walk without interesting stop-over points? What will you see enroute? Below is a Google Maps air view from near the cruise terminal to the Gardens by the Bay and the little farther away Marina Bay Sands. It's mostly undeveloped landfill That will be your sights and sites enroute. Worth it? In my view, this route would not be interesting like walking the streets of Paris or London. Given ALL of the many and great options in Singapore, I would spend just a little for a cab (maybe share with another couple) or use public transit to connect there quicker and in greater comfort. Your time has value and for what can be walked from this cruise location, I might suggest considering other options. Your choice! Caution: When there in late February 2024, we were docked at another cruise ship location. Maybe by this time, all ships will be at this newer, closer location. Sorry to hear on this "adventure sailing" being cancelled. It is correct from jollyjones as to the why involving the large amount of time and distance needed to circumnavigate Africa via the southern route involving Cape Town. As detailed below on my live/blog for our February 2024 Mumbai to Singapore sailing, we were on "pins and needles" waiting and hoping in December 2023 and January 2024 to see what Silversea would do. Or, not? AND, following day-by-day, as to if and when the Silver Moon would arrive in India by the promised date of Feb. 14. We were suppose to sail away on Feb. 11, but that got delayed by three days. From talking with a number of crew who sailed around Africa during that period, it was a different challenge to cover such a massive distance without passengers and having very limited port stops. Not your normal sailing for these dedicated staff members!! Lots of serious logical, re-supply, etc., issues to be managed. Let me add my Yes! Yes!! to JP, Lois, etc. On our Silver Moon Mumbai to Singapore sailing earlier this year, we hit out 100 days with Silversea milestone and got the free laundry. Agree it is totally AWESOME!! Makes a difference, especially as we had dirty laundry from pre-cruise private touring of the Golden Triangle of India, etc., of over a week prior to boarding. But, here's a tip. As shown in the visual below, my wife is talking with our Butler as we had just arrived in our Suite to start our sailing. Ask any and all questions about the laundry and any other services/options. Don't be shy with any and all questions. Any time, just ASK!!! Your Butler likes good customers who inquire, are curious, seeking more and better. Also consider how you want your laundry items to come back. Initially, as an example, they brought back my regular white tee-shirts on hangers. Didn't need things done that way and I ask them to just come back folded. Worked easier for us. Super service that says FIRST-CLASS. Loved having my PJ's not just cleaned, but pressed. Another tip? With the green, metal bottle for water, put ice in it and pick a more interesting beverage, such as Diet Coke, to take as your to-go refreshment. It's does not need to be just plain water in that container. It held the ice and soft drink well throughout the day when on an excursion.
