I think sometimes folks confuse the mini bar with the drinks that used to be in the refrigerator when you got to the cabin. Those drinks were not included and some folks ended up paying for drinks they thought were included. I "think" Princess quit doing that as we haven't had anything in the refrigerator the last few cruises we took.

That’s what I was thinking about. It’s been a while since we cruised with Princess. Thanks.

  2. We watched ours on the app while waiting for the plane that morning. When we showed up at our muster station, the crew asked if we had any questions. We did not, so they gave us stickers for our cards and sent us on our way.

With regard to the vouchers being used on the ship, can I get a can of soda or do I need to get it as a fountain drink?

On the Adventure OTS July 10 sailing, we would be charged a drink voucher for a can in the Diamond Lounge but the fountain drinks from the bar were free. Never ordered soda from the other bars. Would get cans (and charged a voucher) in the main dining room.

Any ideas on either low alcohol or virgin alcohol beverages on AOS... Now this just might not be the best group to ask about low alcohol...but since some are on the ship...  Any ideas... I hope I can do better and a couple of white wine spritzers.

The virgin strawberry daiquiris taste exactly like you’d expect them to.

So sorry you weren't aware that room service has "never" been available on the last morning- turnaround day. It's usually stated so in the Compass).

(Im always cautious in using the word "never" but that's been my experience after many cruises .)

We must have missed it. I decided to post it here to educate others who might be in the same “boat” (pun intended).

Have you considered doing your run on one of the treadmills in the gym? I run competitively and much as I prefer to run outdoors, using the tiny tracks on ships (other than on Oasis class, which are great) is just too unsafe. Even if you keep switching directions, doing that many laps of such a short track puts tremendous strain on ankles, knees and hips and could lead to injury. 😞

    Good point. Thanks!

More to come on disembarkation tomorrow.

People with Transfers or Post-Cruise tour, luggage out by 10 pm. There is no place on minibuses for luggage, so you need to put your bags out. The “baggage hall” is at the airport. You get your bags at the airport and check in for Your flight (this is not Luggage valet)

    Do they offer luggage valet?

  8. I've had very good trips with TECKK Outfitters. There are other vendors as well. I don't suggest the ship tour, since it's a fixed location. You are better off being on the move.

I second Budget Queen's recommendation. We had a great day with TECKK Outfitters last month. The focus was bears, but we also saw orca.

  9. Following up to let you know how my training went -- My coach said that "cross-training" could count toward my miles while I was traveling. For walking and running, I counted miles. For other activities, I counted time: 1 hour of snorkeling at a "fat-burn" heart rate = 4.5 miles, 1 hour of spin class at a much higher heart rate = 6 miles. (Yes, I'm slow. My LSD pace is 12:45.)

I was about 4 miles short of my goal for the entire 2-week trip. While nothing beats running, my Wednesday track workout and yesterday's 17+ miler weren't nearly as dreadful as they would have been if I hadn't made an effort to get my real and virtual miles done while on vacation.
