No, I can't explain. I googled Thistle Hotels, picked Royal Horseguards and got information--such as a room that includes VAT + breakfast (a biggie) from
£140. Try again.

I think the key lime pie on the ship is pretty darn good. I wish they didn't wait until the last night to serve it now....I would scarf up a pie for the frig and have some every day!

The Thistle Hotels are usually reasonably priced and the Royal Horseguards is in a good location. It is very nice.
We have found that RCI's hotels for pre and post stay are worth considering and we will be using one of their hotels (Grosvenor House) on our next transatlantic.

It can be either way. The English dictionary gives both "ka" and "ke" with long a's and e's.

Someone who stayed in the Owner's Suite said it was smaller than jr. suites on other ships. A regular OV is very small.

I heartily recommend the BOB. I think it is http://www.bobusvi.com.
It would take about 1/2 day and you could still shop and sightsee.

I do not know the brand, but it is usually either French or Irish butter.
Here in the south we can get a butter called "Plugra" which is European and it is delish. Our Publix (a southern chain) also has Irish butter but it is not as good (IMHO) and a bit more costly. If it is like almost everything else, RCI probably gets it from SYSCO.

Jazzfman, people in European countries often use punctuation marks different from those we use in the US. I'm sure anyone in Germany would know right away what he meant. For instance, you often see phone numbers separated with "periods" rather than "hyphens"....i.e. 555.256.1212

We have also done this excursion but did the sea portion first. Enjoyed it very much.
