Yes, so my question is how does immigration work in those cases?

We had a fun pass and were still able to use the promotions. The main problem was spending the money. There was only one arcade machine and there is only so many times you can do the 4D game and the zip line. We didn't do the F1 car or bowling though.

For clarity, my passport was stamped on arrival and departure at FDF airport, even though we were flying to France. It was not stamped at the cruise terminal. It's definitely possible to get on at different ports with MSC because quite a few people did it on our cruise. Even though FDF was the last stop for everyone people boarded at pretty much every port along the way. What I don't know is if this is only allowed for EU passport holders.

I was wondering if it was possible to board in Fort-de-France and disembark in Pointe-à-Pitre 8 days later? On my recent cruise this looked to be possible, but how does it work with immigration? My passport was not stamped either on boarding or disembarking, but it was the same port. Does something different happen if you are not coming back.

I played around on my Android phone and it looks like I can receive on 5GHz and broadcast on 2.4GHz, but that would mean I would need a 5GHz signal onboard which sounds unlikely. I'd recommend anyone planning to do this plays around at home first making sure that they are redistributing their wifi signal and not their data.

How are you creating the hot spot? I thought you could only use the wifi once i.e. either receive or broadcast on the wifi, but not both. Has this changed or are you broadcasting by bluetooth or similar? As an aside we bought multi country Caribbean data which worked well as we were usually near an island.

Great. That's all I need. Thanks for confirming. Water situation when in the Caribbean is really odd though. I would carry water with me wherever I go, so losing it every time I enter the ship just seems really tiresome, but I guess we'll survive.

Am I likely to be able to smuggle snacks onboard? I was just thinking about this and realised I was planning to have some emergency provisions for the kids.

I just came to ask this very question. So bottled water will be confiscated every time we board the ship? Sounds like an unnecessary headache. Is that because we supposed to buy it onboard? Presumably that means snacks are also banned?
