  1. My Sister and I stayed at Miami Hilton Downtown (our go-to hotel for several years using points/dollars) mid February 2024 and the pool was 'closed for maintenance'.  There was no work going on,  the entire time we were there.  The restaurant/bar has good enough food but the rooms and elevators are old, need some help.  I would ask when making reservations about the pool - and maybe call a day or three before arrival.  I would not stay there again.

  2. None on Enchantment last week.  When requested they did say the bakers were not making them anymore due to lack of necessary ingredients.  Our head waiter told us he would 'bring us something special' the next night.  The twisted and seeded breadsticks from Windjammer dinner buffet🤷🏼‍♀️  At least he tried!!

I have only seen it personally pre-Revolution.  It certainly is roomier than your average Sky Suite but the dark wood paneling (which I am sure is gone) coupled with the balcony door made the suite darker.

Dark wood paneling is gone, now a light gray textured wall covering that does lighten it up a bit.  The single door is also there, which we actually liked.  Funny about the 'seats' at the end of the bed, we did the same thing for our cocktail table when we ordered in some munchies.

Wondering if I should consider bidding to move to an Aqua Sky Suite instead of a Sky Suite on M-Class. One possible benefit might be moving from an accessible cabin to a non-accessible. I see that the one open Aqua Sky Suite is non-accessible. I've heard water pools in the M-Class bathroom floor in an accessible suite. (I don't need an accessible cabin, was only given one because I booked a suite guarantee.)

What are the advantages to an Aqua Sky Suite on the Millennium? The Persian Garden doesn't look that appealing as far as spas go.

Just off Summit in Aqua Sky Suite 6145 and would not book again.  Butler Pratik was awesome as was suite attendant.  Bathroom was spacious with separate shower and two sinks but no where to put your 'stuff' in there, very tight on counter top and slight half shelf filled with towels, hair dryer, etc. underneath.  Location was great but in our opinion we would not book this again due to storage.  Very weird.  We were on for 9 nights and needed multiple layering of clothes.

Two and half cubbies, two drawers and one small closet on right as you enter.  One other drawer in the funky entryway and one more set of shelves in the cabinet under the TV.  TV did not swivel toward the little thing they call the couch, it faced the bed.  It was a connecting room to PH and I know better than to book connecting room, unless there are peeps I know in the connecting room.  Small table near 'couch' and while there was a larger balcony, not comfortable, all metal furniture.

This is our opinion and for the money, better cabins can be had.

  5. Hi RCCL Fan,

Just my two cents - we were on Grandeur a few weeks ago and were the only ship in port - which seems to be the norm now.  We were also in a suite.  I thought the buffet was good beach food with addition of steak pieces, shrimp and a shrimp salad, no lobster.  There were maybe 20 guests at barefoot.

We did wander over to other beaches to visit with friends and they agreed service was great and available food was fine. Being on a smaller ship, it was really not crowded at any of the beaches, plenty of loungers where ever you wanted them, sun or shade.  Service was quick for drinks, no line for the buffets,  Would save my $$ for another adventure.

    Have a great trip!

This morning just started receiving credit card credits to my cc for Odyssey of the Seas cruise 10-23-21.  I have all my prior credits for canceled cruises so was curious where this is coming from.  Called Royal, the reservation is canceled.  Hmmmm, not showing up in my profile and not showing up on the website.  Still on hold but would like to know if this is happening to anyone else or if anyone has intel, any info would be appreciated.

  7. Happy Birthday John....and to spend it at Izumi - even better!  😀  Could you please post a pic of the menu - trying to determine if my DS (who has an allergy to shellfish) would be able to find something to eat there.  We have already noted her allergy with our genie but wanted to get a sneak peek.  Anna said there was just a new menu released recently for Izumi and it did not include Hot Rocks.....?  Just looking to verify.

Thanks for the awesome review and have a great birthday.

  8. Any recent pics of Serenade of the Seas cabin 1554?

Doing lots of digging for current information and hope someone can help.  Currently have GS 1550 booked on Serenade but looks like 1554 just openend up.  In my searching looks like two loungers fit on the balcony of 1550 but only one on 1554.  I do understand the location under the pool deck, noise probability and that 1554 you can open both sliders to get that outdoor feeling (where 1550 is a single door) and everyone can see when you walk out on the balcony.

Are there any recent sailors that can confirm or deny the lounger situation as this is our favorite spot to unwind?  Would really appreciate any information.

    Thanks in advance!

I've stayed there several times and been a few times more.  It's not like Atlantis with wristbands and all of that.  There is just a guard standing near the doors that lead to the pool area.  You flash your room key and keep walking.  They don't check anything closely, it's not that kind of place.  Same with the towel stations, you just flash your room key and grab all the towels you want.  You will get 2 room keys when you check in.  Just give one to the other couple and they can wander around all they want.  Just note that any purchases will be on the room card, it's cashless.  So make sure you settle that up with the other couple - they can give you cash or whatever for their purchases back on the ship.

  10. Thanks all for the info - may have to get two rooms.......then it starts to add up a bit quicker!$$$$$

I also do like the advice given by BNBR so may give that a try!

  11. Sorry don’t have specific dates - they just said the date we were looking for, during the last week of February, that they were not available.

You could always call and ask them for specific dates, that is what my friend did to get the info.
