Thanks everyone for your helpful comments and words of caution. The cabin I wanted showed available again this morning. Apparently MSC holds a cabin for about 24 hrs if you go far enough with a mock booking. Yesterday when I called the rep only showed 1 cabin available in my cabin category (although MSC & other booking sites showed 7) and it wasn’t the one I wanted. Today I called and the rep found the cabin I wanted and made the switch with no problem. She sent the confirmation and waited until I opened it to make sure nothing else had changed. Very quick and efficient So score one for MSC customer service.

Two Wheels do you know if the YC cabana’s pictured are ocean view or ocean front? We’re looking for one that might have palm trees near for some additional shade. Any recommendations? Thanks

After talking to the rep, I did another mock booking with the cabin I want except this time I went all the way to the payment page to see if it would let me. It did. Now the cabin doesn’t show up anymore, so I may have messed up 🥴 I’ll keep looking tho

Thanks for the heads up. I called and they don’t show the cabin I want available even though it shows up in a mock booking on their website. It also shows up using another website. Weird.

When I booked,the cabin I wanted wasn’t available so I took the one next to it. Now, 45 days out the cabin I want shows available. It’s the same category and the price/perks the same as when I booked. Can the call center just change my cabin? Thanks!

Haven proper cabins, those would be the following categories: HE, HF, H5, H6 and H2. All have Butlers. Also, be advised Joy has no thermal spa.

On the NCL Joy the closest thing to a dome over a pool is the Haven pool with the retractable roof. There is a huge hot tub in Spice H2O that would be perfect for crossing the pond in January.
