  1. Brought the Key for our 3 day Freedom of the Seas, curious but also was only $2 more than internet zoom. Lunch was nice in the dinning room as being a three day cruise, there were a lot of groups who can overwhelm a Windjammer. We carried on our luggage for the trip so it was nice to pass those off with the Key group and have them available to use when we checked into our room at 1:30. We were also concerned with overcrowding at shows and didn't want to hassle with finding seats. However, finding a seat if you got to the shows 10 minutes early was not a problem. Not sure if this was because it was a three day cruise or what. I do know that having the KEY on the Odyssey or Oasis ship would have been beneficial and would consider the KEY on those ships if the price was minimal. Breakfast on departure day was nice, no Windjammer Group party and having our luggage available in a special area. Downside was, once you enjoyed your breakfast you disembarked with the masses, no advancement to the front of the line, which wrapped thru the dinning room, out onto the outside deck.
  2. Just returned from our three day cruise on Freedom. Embarking photo was taken at the port with my scarf on, no questions asked. we missed Coco Cay and did not get off in Nassau. Disembarking was not questioned and even the Passport Disembarking Face passed the mustard. I truly think that with the embarking photo taken with scarf on, that port embarkments would not have been questioned.
  3. I don't know the answer to that and what I am gathering, all Walgreens are different. Here in Newport News we were able to book same day, Wednesday, before a Friday sailing. Another good reason to have those video test kits handy in case your local Walgreens/CVS are not available.
  4. Totally trusting my fellow CCs. Just got our free Walgreens test and negative results indicate: Test Ordered: Rapid NAAT Test. This was so easy. Just really confused on the different terminologies. I saved our Binax Now home test for October cruise in case Walgreens does not offer this service.
  5. Looking at taking five grandchildren, 2 four year olds; 1 five, 1 six and 1 eight. Not sure the Anthem is a good ship for them, i.e. water park area, etc. Also seems the four year olds can't even ride the bumper cars. Anyone have experience with this class of ship and young ones?
  6. We have three more weeks before our short cruise in celebration of finishing a long radiation/chemo treatment for small cell lung cancer. I have the wig (not worn since driving home from salon) and not sure after 10 weeks if I will get into the wig or nor. I have several head coverings, i.e. beanies, scrafes, that keep my head warm and truth be know, look better than my scraggly fuzzy head. And I certainly do not want to wear (or take) my wig to the beach and cause confusion coming back on board. I questioned RC about removing head coverings and this was their response: Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in responding. We're thrilled you have chosen to sail with us in celebration of you completing your cancer treatment ! In response to your inquiry, no hats, head coverings, or sunglasses are allowed for photos and they may also ask that you remove them during the boarding process. You can wear a wig if you choose or proudly wear your hair as it is. We look forward to having you onboard very soon! I'm thinking of boarding wearing one of my beanies and really do hope I don't have to remove my beanie for photo. Anyone have experience with this? I was going to post to general cruise credit boards but I prefer RC experiences.
