  5. I called again today, wanted to check black friiday prices. Took agent to get back to me 25 minutes with same explation that cruise is marked red meaning revenue department has a lock on it. Also was dismissed on my watchlist and marked unavailable
  6. We have reservation for February 6, 2025 on the Explorer of the Seas. Attempting to check price but sailing does not show up on RC and locating the sailing on other website shows unavailable. Any ideas on how to find out why, perhaps and charter?
  7. have three grand suites. check in times different. 10:30; 11:30 and 1:00. if we all arrive at 10:30, do you think we will all get checked in at the same time?
  8. Can you check in-board first thing with grand suite status or do you have to honor a noon check in time?
  9. If they cancel they will use their insurance but even if they did no show she wont be able to board by herself
  10. Our family has four aft junior suits on adventure, two cabins with grandparents, each with a grandkid, one cabin with daughter, sil, two kids and the fourth with daughter, sil, and one kid. One set of grandparents may have to cancel. I called RC today and asked if there be a problem if they did cancel with us putting grandparent’s kid with her parents. All caibins have been designated for four passengers and in fact had to split kids to grandparents cabins as we could not just reserve with two passengers. RC answer was that it will depend on the distribution on the ship and that it may create overcrowding and they would cancel her reservation. I asked for suggestions on what to do with a five year old, leave her home alone lol and with no responding humor was told that they will make that decision if the grandparents cancelled and cannot give us any assurances at this time so we are not only on pins and needles praying that pops will be able to go but also what to do with kid. No way she will be left behind. anyone heard of how distribution is handled?
  11. TAXES ON THE RESERVATION Have never seen taxes charged on excursions. Recent reservations for Hideway Beach day pass in August 2024 are: $105.98 plus tax for $116.56 and week later $123.98 plus tax for $136.36. Who gets the taxes? Bahama Government?
  12. I agree, a 9+ group is a stretch but the next age group is 6-8 and that would keep four of the five kids together.
  13. Thanks everyone. my 5 year old grandson and granddaughter can hold their own with the next age group. Comes from being with large family and older cousins. I did not think about the staff pirate party being available, was just remembering way back when when the kids would march thru the theatre as pirates. Shows my age.
  14. have 5 grandkids, ages 5 to 9. Does the kids program organize a kids pirate parade ? Been years since I've seen one. Also, grandaughter (5) will want to be with her brothers (7) and (9). Will this be possible?

  17. First time in 20 years I've had Royal give a warning that a table for two may not be given. I this new or we have just been lucky?
  18. We changed our friday flight to Thursday night because of storm moving up the coast and knowing we could not drive. Get hotel as our hotel we had friday reservation with did not have Thursday available. American airlines allowed the change no change fees
  19. We had the unlimited dinning with coastal kitchen when we won our royal up to grand loft on the odyssey last September, 8 day cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed it particularly lunch options on sea days. Do have to say that on the 2nd leg, 6 day cruise, we did not have the dinning package and actually looked forward to and enjoyed our main dining room turkey dinner. With that said, we purchased the dining package on our upcoming 8 day, 3 port allure cruise and no package on second leg 6 Day cruise. Enjoy the experience

Below is a bit of explanation: …„However, let me further explain what the agent may have been trying to advise and did a very poor job at it We have special contract rates, and these rates allow us to hold and ticket at a certain time. Your tickets did not require ticketing until end of August and that is when our system would have done the transactions to issue them. This does not stop you from anything as you are fully confirmed even if ticket is not issued. When a customer for some reason ,like maybe trying to work on comp upgrade with the airline needs the ticket number, then our teams need to enter an accelerated ticket demand and document why on the record. Hopes this clarifies a bit, and we are using this as a training opportunity for all our new staff..„
  21. lol, called air 2 sea today because I have not been able to sign into the airline booking to update our profile, look at seats, etc. Tickets were paid for over two weeks ago and travelling September 30th. Turns out RC had not paid American airlines yet and this was the reason. When I questioned why, I was told that "you should have called back and reminded us to put the payment thru the que". Representative further explained that she always puts her payments thru but some of her co-workers do not. (ykes) I explained that I supervise co-workers all day long and may have to remind them to do something but that I certainly did not expect to have to do so with Royal Caribbean employees also. She certainly needs some coaching on how not to throw RC and her fellow co-workers under the bus. lol Would like to express this experience to RC but just not sure who to send an email. I would appreciate knowing if one of my employees was so misguided.
  22. I always look on the airlines web sites first for best options, then check Air2Sea on line to compare before calling Air2Sea. I let them choose first-could have a special, but if their choice is not acceptable, I then tell them what flights I want.
