We love marella, as said the crew are great , itineraries are the best for fewest sea days , I suppose we either like medium size ships or monsters. I know what we prefer. But each to their own ,no one is right or wrong.

Almost certain decks 6 and up were refurbished with glass doors ,we was on 8 that had a door .

Sure there are no cabins on deck 9 or Discovery , there is on the Explorer.

Just thought as this was a marella cruise question someone from Discovery on a trip might have visited the beach .

Yes like you we did the USA cruise for two weeks, loved it , we also think it’s strange after investing so much money there , perhaps the port fees are to much and to many regulations, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. Off to the Far East in Jan with Marella .
