We always dine late on TAs and go for a pre-dinner cocktail in the Commdore Club.
If you want to switch to second seating, you should be able to do it via the personaliser or give Cunard a call.
Have a great trip

One measure of gin, two measures of gin.
Slice of lemon
An ice cube to chill, not dilute.

Glad you feel sorted...
You might have a personal excess weight problem when you get off though !!!!!

Hope that you manage to persuade him - you'll need some facts and figures ready though as I am sure that he'll want to be the sensible one for you both!
I am lucky, our household mantra is to do things rather than have things.... and I'm in charge of the finances!

We've had an ocean view near the crew entrance on QM2 and found it no bother at all.
When you say that you are looking for a 'quiet location' do you have any key concerns? - we've been near a laundrette and near a lift but never had any issues.

From the UK site:
Weight Restrictions
Each case may weigh a maximum of 23kg due to health and safety reasons.
If an individual piece of luggage exceeds 23kg at embarkation you will be recalled to the terminal and asked to remove items or repack your bags. Your baggage may also be delayed at disembarkation if you exceed this limit.

Esta
in Cunard Line
Group ESTA Application =
Its a bulk order of single ESTAs .... not a single order for a group ESTA

Esta
in Cunard Line
I previously did a 'group' application for the 2 of us - but we both got our individual ESTAs approved and are free to travel independently as well as together. I could have included other people of any age within my 'group' e.g my dad
- One umbrella application / application reference number
- One fee payment (i.e. the sum of 2 x individual fee)
- One email returned with a link to the group application within which the individual ESTAs can be viewed
The failure of one application within the group would not stop the rest of the group being granted their ESTA (subject to being approval- worthy themselves...)
There is little benefit of applying separately - other than not paying for one earlier than otherwise necessary....
Am I'm not missing something here am I ?

Skype someone !

We booked 3 cabins on late savers previously and were assigned (as requested) a table for 5 on the second sitting.
I can't imagine that you won't be successful in your request. Fingers crossed.
Not sure if they have more tables for 8s or 10s.....
-
We have always been allocated a table for 2 at the second seating on QM2 - and have booked a saver fare many times. I think that a couple of requests with the Maitre d' have been required - but as a saver fare, thats definitely the chance you take.
Its hubby's task to sort this out.....
We like a table for 2 as we don't see much of each other duing the day!!!

My mantra on board is to be never knowingly under-dressed.
We celebrated my sister's 50th on the last night of a QE TA - it was classed an informal night, and we walked into the dining room dressed to the nines.
It was fab and she was glowing.
Go for it.

I think that it is inevitable that, with 3 ships in service and so many repeat customers, the number of platinum level passengers will have reached bursting point.
Priority boarding for non-grills is becoming less priority, the senior officers' drinks reception seems to be as busy as the Captain's cocktail party for the Britannia second sitting and the wine tasting is more like a production line than a lesiurely treat. This is not so much Cunard's fault as ours !
Perhaps it is time  for Cunard to reconsider its levels and what it offers at each one. People will get upset, but we are witnessing that at times, the current set up is not sustainable.
-
It may well depend on which way the wind is blowing..... ! It's an old chestnut which we have discussed with senior officers at one of the drinks receptions. On our then 17 night one booking ref.trip, we accepted that it was one voyage, the officers felt that we should have got the credit for 3.... though we did get multiple invites to cocktail receptions... so a bit of a difference at the time about the views of Land versus Sea....

I guess that "From March" doesn't necessarily mean "in" March
-
Emile.... see you on board! When did you book and which cabin did you get?
-
I will not be changing my plans. There will be no voluntary cancellation.
And at work, I have announced my holiday rather than requested it!
-
And me!!!! :)

Keep an eye out if La Grand Dame is included..... as you say, its an excellent opportunity to try a glass of something not normally available by the glass.
I'd rather do any tasting in a smaller group than something larger and more impersonal.
-
P.S. Happy sulking.....⛵
If they did that to me in May 18 I'd be "well peeved" so I get your pain.
-
No need to defend yourself... we were just answering your query whilst not claiming credit ourselves for providing the answer! Quite why Cunard do not state ' special charter' or something similar on their website is a mystery. Similarly, if a voyage is sold out, they don't say so, the voyage just disappears...

The spa is one of my fave places after the Commodore Club and Britannia restaurant for dinner.
-
If you have a 'terrible' diet coke habit you can purchase a soft drinks package in one of the bars as soon as you board to get unlimited soft drinks from the 'hose'. You sort of subscribe in advance for the whole segment. Search for 'soft drinks package' on the Cunard site.
Dining time on westbound crossing

The extra cost of 'Club' is, in my opinion, an excessive amount to sit in the corner of Britannia to choose to effectively dine at 7pm.... ish
(a tadge over simplified, maybe, but to dine an hour earlier costs how much?!)
