Yes we are the same , been on a few Tui with the option to upgrade and have never felt the need and never regretted , only time we did was on celebrity where there was a big difference between the two

I was always of the understanding that if you were on upgrade pack you got cans of pop .

find them cheaper on ship and they will be genuine , the shop on the ship normally has a sale day

Which is why i said the upgrade will get you a can

dont know about the rum but the coke comes out of large bottle which may not be the fizzyest , the upgrade will get you a fresh can of coke

We printed everything , they also ask for proof of insurance

I agree , I had an incident with them a few weeks ago and complained as soon as i was home and was promised by TUI they will respond within 28 days . They have not replied , or replied to around 10 other mails regarding this .

I was on this ship a few weeks ago and had balcony room that had been renovated , nice enough though no settee or doors on wardrobes .

On a cruise and stay a few year ago Tui did the usual laundry offer , fill the laundry bag for around £10 which i did , never thinking at the time everything is tumble tried . shrunk every new bit of clothing so never again .

We went there with friends and they booked it in uk before we went , i think this is the best way as i tried to access club lounge in barbados airport 2 weeks ago , didnt book and they were full , no room at the inn

Having just returned from discovery the fire drill is as follows , when you board you must make your way to the theatre where there will be a video showing for you to observe on a loop , after you have watched this make your way to your muster station with your card and crew will confirm that you have watched video ,ticked your name and cabin number and activate your card . You cannot use your card until this has been done

I dont think it really matters with Tui , as they keep you on ship until airport is ready for you , been on others (princess) where you had to be out of cabin 8.30 am then off ship soon after then 12 hour wait in Miami airport until flight comes . Never again .

We have been on both explorers and sorry cant remember which one we opted for the larger balcony which was great  even enough space for a provided hamock

tui do not rent out these , I would recommend the autofold scooter these are very popular on cruises because they fold down at the touch of a button and can be stored in cabin as take up very little space once folded . 

we are in similar predicament , having sailed with marella a lot we have decided to have a change . recently returned from discovery in caribbean whilst docked up in Antigua p&o avia was beside us, all new and crew were cleaning it all down , you could write your name on our balcony glass . that ship worked out £1000 cheaper than ours . Sorry marella we have been loyal but your prices dont add up . We have booked p&o next winter flying direct from Newcastle with TUI chartered by P&O premium class with balcony for £1000 cheaper on a brand new ship . Only thing we dont get in are drinks but would never drink £1000 worth in 2 weeks

I had it on phone 2 weeks ago and for first 10 days worked fine then for last 4 days it did not work , typically for when you need it to for flight check in

Just had booking letter from TUI that states that you do not collect suitcases following flight , they go straight to ship also that a bus collects passengers direct from plane , do not go through airport.(barbados). One less hassle 

Most ports there will be a row of taxis taking people on excursions , beaches , boat trips , pretty much whatever you would like to at a fraction of the cost of ships excursion . Be careful not to go too extreme in case of late arrival . the ship will not wait

Friend of mine was booked for orlando 6 month ago , he flew newcastle to paris to board plane to orlando and they would not them board plane because there passport had recently been stamped at cuba , luckily got refund from travel agent

we had to change money in cuban bank as were told no other currency accepted , you do realise if you have cuba stamp on passport America wont let you in country on standard visa for a few years. We did enjoy Cuba , did an overnighter there a few year ago on Tui dream docked in Havana
