  1. I'm wondering this as well. Particularly, has anybody used only the positive certified lab test result (within 3 months, 10 days past positive date, no current symptoms) as Document of Recovery to board an Alaskan sailing with a stop in Canada (instead of a pre-cruise test)?
  2. I wouldn't chance it with what VeriFLY is telling them. Carnival's policy is either 3 days before or two days before. If they are eligible to test 3 days before for a Monday cruise, then the earliest they could test is Friday. If they're not eligible until 2 days before the Monday cruise, then the earliest they could test is Saturday.
  3. If the person is eligible for the first booster but hasn't gotten it, then they are not up-to-date with their vaccines and 72 hours is not right. From Have Fun. Be Safe. | COVID-19 Guest Protocols | Carnival Cruise Line: If a guest is fully vaccinated but not up to date with their vaccines (i.e., is eligible for a booster but has not received one), they must take their pre-cruise COVID-19 test within two days prior to sailing.
  4. I'm not sure if this would be breaking any forum rules, but there's a free app from a famous travel guy who's often on PBS. It includes four different Venice walking tours. The one that really surprised me (in a very good way) was the Frari Church tour. Highly recommended.
  5. Wow, that is a load of crap. I'm glad you saw this and brought it to my and the board's attention. Thanks.
  6. Uh oh. I was planning on using the iHealth proctored test too, but I see "Sold out" as well.
  7. Is the request process the same whether you've booked through a travel agent or directly with Carnival? Thanks in advance.
  8. I'm surprised you didn't get an e-mail from Juneau Car Rental back in March when they changed the policy. Perhaps it went to your spam mailbox? Juneau Car Rental just sent me another e-mail yesterday, inquiring about how many people I have in my party so that they can coordinate shuttle pickup. Did you get such an e-mail? If not, maybe it's because you already told them group of 7 back in February, so they already have the information? At any rate, this is just further confirmation that rental car pickup at the dock is no longer available, and yeah, super frustrating. My big problem is our ship doesn't arrive in Juneau until 2:00 PM. With them saying that it could take up to two hours for shuttle pickup, it could realistically be 5:00 before we're in the car. And to compound that, their shuttle only runs until 8:00. They do offer the option to drop the car off after-hours, but then we'd have to find/pay our own way from their main office back to the ship. I think I'll end up cancelling my rental reservation with them.
