    Hello Bin Man

If you log into your account and press on dinning, it will give you a date for you to be able to book MDR, Limelight Club etc also do the same for the entertainment.

I have an Allianz policy through Halifax.  I carried out an online chat a week or so ago and was told I'd need a PCR.  I have queried this and await a reply.

I've been a very busy bee for my family who unfortunately all use different insurers. This news from HE is the most positive but the first paragraph is worrying in cases such a the lady who told the truth about her cough.

I thank you very much for this, as I have an Allianz policy through the Halifax, and they told me the same last week.

Anyway, back on topic and hope people still feel they can contribute without fear of arguement, and just need to move on from this one.

Still interested to hear any accounts from those currently on this cruise. Has anything changed from when you left Southampton? Are all venue’s open? Are more people wearing masks?

Friends on this cruise at the moment: Everything open, no mask wearing, but all the crew are, some people are wearing masks in the theatre but that's there choice. Our friends are having a great time on this ship, and we cannot wait to get on her on the 29th October. No sign of Covid at the moment, as they have heard. Plus they are in their 70s, and booked again for Christmas while on board.

  4. I to watched the funeral Allday yesterday with my husband and agree with you all it was very emotional. Definitely made you proud to be British.

Also cried when they showed Emma the pony and the corgis, made me think how much they will miss their owner.

Also thought Prince George and Princess Charlotte did extremely well for their ages.

I Hope they let the Royals grieve in peace now.

  5. I have now found out but thank you for answering.

Yes Josy 1953, it's still called that in Spain, Portugal, France etc also called "Day of the Dead"

England, America, Canada and a few others don't celebrate, but most countries do.

When we are in Vigo on the 1st of November, which now I have been told all shops will be closed part from a couple of supermarkets and a few cafes and pubs might be open.

They sometime have parades etc which will be nice to see.

2nd of November a normal working day.

Possibly Gary Barlow may have turned some music lovers away from the cruise (only kidding!).
I guess it has more to do with cost, and artists not being willing to commit themselves to regular 3 or 4 day breaks on a cruise ship in a cabin lacking some of the comforts they may be used to.

    HAHA

Yes, I think you are right, out of the three it would have to be Tom Lister for me as I don't watch the Voice or X Factor, so don't know the other two.

Even though I expect, they are very good at what they do.

Morning all, so much to catch up on!

Dad was suddenly released from hospital lateish on Monday but I didn’t post as he went straight back last time! I tried to argue but no care package was given!

He’s definitely better than he was last time but he was regressing a bit in hospital. They’ve  gone back to their flat as it’s all ground floor and they’re coping ok.

I’ve  cancelled our couple of nights to Portsmouth we were due to go on tomorrow to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on Monday!! Glad I have cancelled now as I’m not sure we would have found a restaurant open Monday.

On the subject of jabs, thanks for reminding me as my Mum had a text about it and we were waiting for my Dad to come out before we booked them and we haven’t done it yet!

Please to hear your dads out of hospital and back home.

Congratulations for Monday, have a lovely day and a good weekend.

The problem for us is that these people have a totally different sort of life to us and we don't know what sort of pressures they are under.  Personally I can't imagine what I would do if I had to go to a foodbank because I couldn't afford to buy what I want.

My nephew is a social worker who mainly works trying to get people off the streets and into some sort of accommodation and he truly believes that a lot of them turn to drink and drugs to escape their reality.

As my mum would say "There but for the grace if God go I".

I never thought of it like that, and your mum is right, "There but for the grace of god go I"

Regarding mobile phones, there are nurses out there who are using food banks and

mobile phones. Also, people who may have lost their job, like in the hospitality industry

(Through no fault of their own) and need a phone to get apply for other jobs.

I am just grateful that we do not find ourselves in that situation and have people like

Josy and Phil to help these people out, even if a selfish one comes along now and again.

    I totally agree
