  1. What is the best way to let Viking know about an issue with a cruise. Thanks!
  2. Mine said the same thing but I just happened to wake up at 2 AM and they were open. I booked then. My brother and sister in law were able to get into the same excursions the next morning. Definitely don’t wait til noon to check. Good luck!
  3. Just wondering. I’m limiting my exposure before leaving and thought maybe I could do this on the ship.
  4. I started checking at midnight for both and booked at around 2 and 3 am.
  5. I found that the excursions and dining opened earlier than stated on the invoice. I live in the Midwest. One (excursions/dining) stated it would open at noon pacific time and the other 8pm pacific time. I had read a post from someone saying they opened early and they lost out on some excursions they wanted. I got up at midnight and just kept checking. I booked dining and excursions at around 2 and 3 AM. I’m not sure what I would have found if I waited until noon and 8PM. I did this for 2 different cruises.
  6. Thank you, again! We travel on the dome train from Anchorage to Denali. You’ve been very helpful. Viking doesn’t have info on what company is used. I’m hoping that it will be as good as Viking is. Thanks
  7. Does anyone have experience on the dome rail car used by Viking from anchorage to Denali?
  8. I posted that in the wrong place. Has anyone done the preDenali extension? What was the trip into Denali like with the rock slide blocking the road at mile 40?
  9. Did you do the Denali extension? If so, since the rock slide has blocked the road at mile 40, was the trip into Denali valuable?
  10. Thanks for the info. I’ve had two Viking people tell me we are tested prior to arriving in Vancouver only and that they will test us on the ship. Maybe it’s changed since you cruised? I called a second time to be sure.
  11. I’m thinking of scheduling a facial in the spa. Can anyone recommend which one? I don’t have experience with facials. Thanks
  12. MVJ states that if you are on a pre extension, you will be provided with the necessary tests to meet Canada’s requirement for cruise travelers before you board the ship. My assumption is they will test us with a pcr test 72 hours before boarding or an antigen test within 2 days of boarding. Was that your experience? I talked to a Viking rep and he said they would test us on the ship prior to reaching Vancouver. I think he’s wrong. Also, did you complete the ArriveCAN app while on the extension - 72 hours before boarding ship in Seward. Thanks
  13. Does anyone know if any of these delicious items are offered gluten free? In particular the scones etc.

    LUGGAGE

For those of you with experience traveling on Viking -does a 28” suitcase store easily in the DV2?
  15. Denali experienced a rock slide after we purchased this extension. It limits the tour at mile 43. Does anyone know if Viking is planning anything to make up for this? I couldn’t get any information when I called. Thanks
  16. Yes I did the live chat and he removed them. He said reservations are no longer needed for the restaurant because they are going to precovid where you just go when you want to be seated. Thank you for your he,p
  17. I can’t delete it. How did you delete it?
  18. Can someone tell me how to cancel dining reservation in the restaurant so I can reserve manfredis? I tried doing it in the calendar but it didn’t work. Thank you
  19. Is anyone familiar with how Viking comes up with this number?
  20. Trying to decide between mid April or early October ….any suggestions?
  21. Thank you! Got them scheduled. Relieved.
