I‘m a big fan of your LIVE reports!
Wishing you a happy happy BIRTHDAY 🥳

I got really good care on Millie a few weeks ago for bronchitis. After calling guest relations at around 7am, I was told to go and wait in the queue before they opened at 8. I was 2nd in line and was assessed by the nurse, then given a covid test (which I knew was negative because I had been self testing for several days prior) and then seen by the physician, given antibiotics and some other meds. I was back in my room by 9:30. I got a paper copy of the bill which was quite reasonable.

To anyone who has done this cruise…is the food quality/variety any different from a European cruise?
Our last Celebrity European cruise was on B2B inaugural + an additional week sailing on Apex in 2021 (which was during the pandemic) so it‘s a bit unfair to compare. There were less than 500 people on the brand new ship and so everything was perfection.
Not that on the recent Japan sailing there was anything wrong, but I‘d say overall similar to what Celebrity regularly offers. They seemed to not be able to get berries, so that was an exception. No blueberries or strawberries at the spa breakfast yogurt station after about 6 days in Japan. There were lots of provisions brought on board while in Busan, which seemed to come from the US and Australia, so the quality seemed similar to previous Celebrity cruises we’ve taken. I don‘t eat meat, so can‘t comment on that.

We recently got back from B2B (Transpacific and then Best of Japan) on the Millennium. The ship for the most part is well maintained and we enjoyed the size of the ship. Completely different experiences on each leg as you can imagine.
Regarding the OPs question about things to do on the 4 full sea days, I would say yes. The cruise director, Patrick and the activities team were very good. Of course there seemed to be less planned activities on the sea days for 2nd leg compared to TP, but there was still plenty to keep guests busy or to relax as per preferences. The service was excellent for the whole cruise, the food in BLU was outstanding and the Celebrity and guest entertainers were awesome.
I‘m hoping to write a review and post shortly since I realize it‘s been a long time since Celebrity was last in Japan, but in the meantime, I‘m happy to answer any specific questions.

Yes spoke to guess relations a few times and nothing so far, a report has been made and I believe that triggers the next stage of looking at cameras etc 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed. I left my brand new AirPods Pro on my chair in the solarium on our Apex cruise in June. I was so annoyed with myself, but happy to report, they turned up in Guest Relations the next day.

We are considering doing the upgrade on the second ship also so we will see what they want for the sky suite... 🤞🏻
So exciting!
Week 1 we did so many excursions and also several nights of specialty dining. Week 2 we did a few excursions, but much less intense and really enjoyed the retreat and Luminae.
Weeks were somewhat different but both fabulous.
Looking forward to following along on the adventure….- 1

Webinar and sound quality are fine for me.

Hi Mr_T,
Fellow Canadian here and am so happy you are doing another Live on APEX. We were on the inaugural sailing in June and loved it so much we decided to stay on an additional week. It was a great decision and we even upgraded from IV to a sky suite so we had even more new stuff to experience in week 2 with Luminae and the retreat - such an amazing 2 weeks of my life. And now I’m just living vicariously through those who are sailing and generously posting. Thanks in advance!!!!
It’s such a great ship and we had such a fabulous time.
Enjoy!- 3

How long after registering for PUPs did you start receiving the emails? We are only 6 CC points short of Elite status and would love to make it before our next cruise.

I agree, just marketing stuff, plus the future trips brochure was all out of date, waste of postage! I hadn't heard about the backpacks, so nice surprise, I hope! I couldn't find the roll call for this sailing, only the old one of Aug 4 Black Sea. Thanks for the update on the ship movement, yay, it sails!!
Hi Joyce,
I recently joined the old roll call, but there isn’t much activity. My DH and I will be joining you and others on Aug 4th.
Btw, we are also Canadians but are currently living in Switzerland.
Looking forward to boarding in just over a week,Margaret

We have received email confirmation with a Guest number ID, to sign in on the booked guests tab, but it doesn't work, now it says the site is undergoing maintenance...more waiting...
I was able to put my preferences into MyAtlas before the maintenance message. Hope the situation is resolved soon for other passengers.

Hello PTCruizer, thanks for the great post and info! 2 questions please:
1. did Apex perform a second covid test prior to disembark? if so, what day was the test performed? I think someone mentioned about the second covid test prior to disembarkation, we might be able to use the test result to fly back to US same day without doing another covid test in Athens.
2. Do you remember what time was express walk off? Not sure if catching a flight by 9 AM would be possible...
thanks in advance!
Hi Tyrannosaur,
I was on the same cruise and can answer you question about the 2nd test. All
passengers were tested on Friday morning before noon. We were notified by email of our results which were on the safety app provided. And then a printed letter with the test that was used and results was delivered to our stateroom on Friday evening.
Regarding walk-off, it was available starting at 6:30. We chose to leave later and were off the ship just before 9am.

We showed up at the pier at 1:00 for our 1:30 appointment. Checkin was smooth. First thing we did was the nasal swab Covid test. Had results in about 15 minutes. They checked our passports and express passes a few times and then after the obligatory boarding photo we were onboard for the first time in 18 months. All told, 30 minutes from arrival to board. The crew are so very happy to see guests, it really shows. Here is a picture from the checkin tent.
Hi @PTcruiser,
We were on the 6/19 sailing and decided to stay on APEX for a second week. We got off the ship in the morning to take care of some business in Athens but got back on around noon. I stopped by the check-in area to see if operations were better than the previous Saturday. It was nice to see things much more organized and orderly. Kudos to Celebrity and the port for making the necessary adjustments.
Completely agree about the staff - looking forward to week 2 on this amazing ship.
Happy cruising!Margaret

Hi! I will be sailing on Apex next week and have a question for current passengers on the Greek Passenger Locator Form. Did you fill one out for arrival to Greece by plane (noting the ship as one of the places you will stay), then another for arrival by cruise with the date of disembarkation?
I am getting in a day early and am confused by what to do here. Appreciate any support!!
Hi jtouma3,
We are also currently onboard Apex. You just need to fill out the Greece PLF once for entry into Greece. Complete the form before you leave home and you get a QR code for us upon entry to Greece at midnight the day of arrival. Only 1 form needed per family. If you are staying at a hotel prior to getting on the ship, not both locations on the form.
You don’t need another once on the ship for arrival back as far as we know. But I’m sure the ship will inform of anything else required.
You also need to complete the ship required Healthy at Sea documents prior to arrival at port and answer a health questionnaire the day before sailing.
Hope this helps.
The ship is gorgeous - you won’t be disappointed!!!- 3

We will be on the June 19th Apex sailing from Athens and are in Greece right now.
Happy to answer questions you have but since I’m living in Switzerland right now I didn’t fly here from the US. We’ve met lots of Americans here, so it doesn’t seem to be a problem.

I was so happy to see this thread and follow along. @Jim_Iain Jim, I have loved reading your reviews in the past (on X boards). Your writing style and photos are awesome and I especially love how inclusive and positive you are with other posters. Eagerly awaiting reading about your onboard (and other) experiences!!!
