  1. Still haven't called. I am guessing my phone number is flagged in their system as do not call. I wasn't rude or "Karen" when I called last week but made it clear that their customer service was non-existent and unacceptable. This pretty much seals it for me that I will never sail with Virgin. 4 years, no cruise and now no money and no response from them.
  2. They actually answered? I called at 9:15 my time and got in the "que" for a call back: as of right now. NOTHING. I emailed. No response. I formally opened a BBB complaint for my own entertainment as they are a fox guarding the chicken coop (though Virgin as an F rating with them) but If I don't hear by tomorrow I am filing in court. I have had enough of this crap.
  3. Just checked: still no refund. Angry does not even touch the level of pi****** off I am. I will be calling after my work meeting. They are NOT going to like me.
  4. I have a very small balance. The bank said I can leave it as a credit or ask for a check. It just adds to the delay in getting my actual money back. Thank you for the support. 🙂
  5. Day 10 and I STILL don't have my money. When they cancelled me 2 years ago and I opted for the refund and the 25% FVC I got the money in 5 days. I called Monday and spoke to a less than polite or helpful CSR who just kept repeating "their terms and conditions said 7-10 days and I should receive it by the 20th or 21st". Well here we are at the 20th and there is still not one sign of my $4k+ money. Of course it is too late to do a charge back or I would start that process. They have held my money for almost 2 years and then have the audacity to simply hold on to it as long as they want before refunding mit when THEY CANCELLED THE CRUISE not me. If I had cancelled I could understand dragging their feet a bit but when they did it they should be refunding the money with light speed as far as I am concerned. Just one more reason I won't be considering Virgin if I ever cruise again.
  6. That is my issue. It isn't even close to a quid pro quo. I had a RS Sweet Aft Suite as well. A five day cruise out of MIA isn't worth it to me to fly cross country for. I am sure how I feel since this is the second time they have cancelled on me. It will be a snowy day in He)) before I book with them again.
  7. That is pretty much where we are at and why I opted for get my money back and book something else somewhere else.
  8. I am impressed you got a live person. I couldn't get one to save my life and got so pi**ed off that I went straight for the refund. My opinion is they should have had all hands on deck (no pun intended) in Sailor Services and all itineraries ready to go when they sent those emails today. Telling customers you are cancelling their cruise(s) and they need to wait another 4 days for more options or take a refund isn't a good business plan.
  9. Yes we did and thank you for recognizing that. I am one of them.
  10. Maybe for some people. For me the operative word of the day is fed-up. Given that they cancelled on me 2 years ago but I still opted to rebook to this cruise and got a suite at what is now a terrace price I was perfectly content to be patient and wait another 2 years for my cruise. Not going to fall for it again. There are millions of great travel options and I don't need to keep putting my life and my money on hold while VV makes bad business decisions. 4 years is patient enough.
  11. I actually do have immediate relevant experience. I submitted the refund form this morning at 9:30 am PST. I just got an email now at 12:28 saying the refund has been processed and should arrive within 7-10 days. I know when they cancelled me two years ago it did arrive back on my card that quickly so I am hopeful it happens again this time.
  12. They are probably being flooded with refund requests right now. Much like you I couldn't get a live human on the phone either and gave up. My refund request did go through but I did that before the whole story blew up. Walter forgets that quite a few of us booked for anniversaries, graduations, birthdays and many other special occasions and for some like me this isn't the first time VV has cancelled on us. I don't have unlimited time and flexibility to simply pivot and do another voyage. I just can't trust Virgin any longer.
  13. I am right there with you. I booked this cruise TWO years ago when they cancelled me in 2021 for a January cruise. I rebooked because they included a 25% FVC and the cost of a Rock Star Suite was the same as what a XL Terrace is now but did not have $300/600 sailor loot included. The price of this 8 day itinerary has almost doubled since I booked so much so that even the $600 loot doesn't make it a good financial deal. There are no Rock Star Suites available on itineraries I can manage and like @ghostshark there is no real benefit to taking a much lesser cabin and getting a refund of the difference and I cannot afford to Australia. I chose refund and wash my hands of Virgin.
  14. Since I am on the west coast anything less than 8 days isn't worth the travel across country at least to me. I am speaking with a TA now about booking something in Bali or the Maldives instead.
  15. This is the 2nd time they have cancelled me. It is a killer deal if they have a cabin you want on a cruise you want and CAN take. My work schedule is such that I can cruise in Jan/Feb. ALL of the cabins I would be happy with on an intinerary I would enjoy are booked solid. My only option is to gamble again and book another 2 years out. I don't know what email you saw but I was only offered up to $600 in loot not $1000. I wasn't booked on Brilliant Lady I was booked on Valiant. Thankfully I had not made airfare reservations yet (was going to today) and just cancelled the Miami hotel room. It is a better deal for some? Of course. But for some of us it isn't a deal it just SUCKS.
  16. EXACTLY. I was very patient and understanding when they cancelled my Valiant Lady sailing for January 2022 due to the shutdowns and issues. I rescheduled to January 2024. Having it yanked away again for the dumbest of reasons doesn't make me a hater. It makes me a former customer.
  17. Don't feel bad they cancelled my Eastern Caribbean for 1/13/2024 to 1/21/2024. This is the 2nd time and LAST they have done this to me.
  18. The link is in the first open email notifying anyone and everyone that they were cancelling and changing sailings.
  19. I don't get that either. I am done with Virgin for a long time. Until I retire they just aren't reliable enough to book with a third time and end up not sailing.
  20. Another question; I had FVC plus 25% that I used to book my suite for this cancelled cruise due to my cruise in 2022 cancelling. Do I get that FVC back?
  21. A great idea except I had a Rock Star Aft suite and none are available. This is the 2nd time Virgin has cancelled on me. I am done booking and wasting time with it. I have a small window that I can do a cruise in due to my job demands and I need a more reliable line. Sorry Virgin you just aren't getting it done. Maybe when I retire one day.....
  22. I just got an email this morning stating that due to postponing the launch of the Brilliant Lady a number of upcoming voyages are now cancelled including mine for January on Valiant Lady. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me. I think I am officially done with Virgin. Once I can understand but twice? Nope. Anyone else get this email?
