Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I live about two hours away from the port in San Diego and I’m not sure if it would be worth it for me to go to the port on embarkation day to find out whether I am going or not. I would prefer at least 24 hours.
  2. I carry annual travel insurance that includes medical coverage.
  3. I'm disappointed that no one is receiving approximately seven days notice but I can definitely work with around 24 hours notice.
  4. I'm in the same position. I would need at least two hours to get to San Diego.
  5. They definitely should change the advertised notification timeline or actually follow the advertised timeline. No reasonable arbitrator, mediator, or jury would agree that the approximately seven days notification includes standing by at the port/dock up to 90 minutes before sail away.
  6. Mine was on there for weeks and then disappeared after my cruise credits had been updated in the system. It may have been inconsequential but it's not there either way.
  7. Based on my review of this thread, everyone on this thread who purchased a Standby Program booking was notified no later than 24 hours before departure that they were going to board the ship or get a refund. Does this seem accurate?
  8. I received my 70 points today and I’m now officially a Four Star Mariner!
  9. Point well taken. I normally wouldn’t be anxious about this but I finally made it to Four Star Mariner and I have a cruise coming up in March. It should be resolved by then but this is HAL which doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to IT.
  10. I sent them an email about my last cruise not being reflected in my cruise history and not having my points applied for that cruise. I received an email from them telling me about the IT glitch and that it was likely to be resolved last week. They also confirmed my calculation that I would be a Four Star (yay!). When it didn’t get resolved last week, I called last Tuesday and they told me about the IT glitch but there was no estimate as to when it will be fixed. However, she told me to call back seven days before my next cruise to have my Mariner Status upgraded temporarily so that I could use the benefits on my Caribbean cruise in March. If I wasn’t supposed to be a Four Star I wouldn’t be this interested and I would just assume that everything would turn out alright.
  11. I found it on the Navigator app. Go to your profile. Then go to Cruise Credits, Deposits & Onboard Credits. Look toward the bottom for Onboard Credits. My Shareholder Benefit OBC is there.
