Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We just got off the Celebration Transatlantic: Latitudes - Loved it - I really like how they moved this bar over to Starboard and created an area with views outside, as well as create an area in the main "walkway" to sit down and grab a drink before dinner. The performer is no longer stuck in a corner but has a nice area mid-ship with some tables just in front to enjoy the show. Golden Jubiliee - The bar is nice and located exactly where Brass Magnolia is. It has a really cool scaled model of Celebration right next to the bar. I did not like the layout change to the adjoining entertainment area. It closes off the area for passerby's to enjoy the entertainer. I really like the booth's and "Jazz Club" feel from Mardi Gras. On Celebration Jubilee just seems like another small lounge area.
  2. My wife had the lowest level (I think its called Social Media) and she as able to frequently use Facebook Messenger with little difference from being at home and messaging. She also streamed Messenger video of Lido and some of the shows to our oldest daughter and she was able to see the ship and show pretty clearly. A fellow cruiser had the Premier level and said it worked great with Zoom and Teams for some work meetings as well as pushing some large work files. I didn't have them check up/down but it sounded like Premier was preforming well.
  3. We just got off the Celebration's Transatlantic. Although probably not representative of the 7 day sailings to come, during the 2nd week (Atlantic Transit) the elegant night was Monday and Thursday. I believe this was similar on our Mardi Gras last year during it's 5th sailing that departed on a Sunday. Regarding Uber - our trip from Port of Miami to Airport on UberX was $23 yesterday, which was very reasonable for the two of us with 4 large pieces of luggage.
  4. We just got off the Trans-Atlantic Celebration Cruise and we were also on the Mardi Gras last year for its 5th outing. I can confirm that there were 2 comedians most nights in Punchliner and Limelight with overlapping showtimes. Overall, I think we had 6 different comedians over the 14 day itinerary, with the comedians "swapping out" on day 7. In addition, they also had a couple special comedy shows with the comedy headliner in the Grand Spectrum theater. We saw Happy Cole in that Spectrum Theater and he was hilarious. If Celebration follows the same pattern as Mardi Gras, you'll likely have 3-4 different comedians rotating through the venues on a 7 day cruise.
