I don’t think there is an Aurea restaurant on the Mera. Just a “dine anytime” section but we’ve not been…
Never been in Aurea, you may be right about that....... I know Seascape had an Aurea rest.

How do Bella menus compare?
There is no Bella Menu. Bella and Fantastica eat in the MDR. Aurea and YC can eat there if they so choose.

Why do you need a shoe horn in the Caribbean? Maybe they take it out?
because my tuba is too big to carry.....
I'll just see myself out..

Does anyone know if they allow you to order items from the MDR menu at the YC restaurant? I guess it defeats the purpose of the better food in the YC, but its nice to have more choices.
They will gladly do it.... just takes time. I tell them at lunch if I want something, or as soon as the YC restaurant opens for dinner. And give them a heads up when you will be in for dinner. You are not getting it at 7:10 if you order at 7:05

I have not met him but a Diamond-level passenger wanted pizza delivered to the lounge today- for reasons I do not understand, it was not allowed. He asked them to call Keith- assumed he was the manager!
Thank you.... Probably the same fine fellow.... Did he get his pizza?

is Keith still the bar manager on Meraviglia?

Does the Meraviglia not have the USB ports in the bottom of these fittings ? The newer Grandiosa and Virtuosa do. I expect Euribia to as well.
They do not.

Going on my fist MSC cruise in June. Want to use the status match program. For those who have used this is it better to use one cruise line over another? I am diamond in both Carnival and RCCL. Is one better than the other to get a comparable match?
Use as many as you have status. We tried and used RCCL and Carnival. I think our RCCL was better.

I appreciate your review. So much bad talk about this ship, but posts like yours give me hope for a family cruise coming in July. Quick question, can you confirm that there is only one outlet in the rooms and no USB ports? If that's not accurate, what are we looking at outlet-wise?
One outlet in the bedroom, and one in the bathroom. no USB ports, hopefully next time in drydock they add them to the lamps by the bed.

I've been on 3x, never got the talk

Last time we were there, it was not the main one, but down the road a little (south, I believe). We took a taxi to the stores.

I am not sure.
I have read on this forum that it doesn't matter if a card was entered during on line check in and that it still needed to be done at the kiosk on board.
In any case, make sure your card knows that the hold for credit will come from a European bank. (French, I believe).
As far as your question about the muster drill time, the drill will be held sometime around 4 PM.
Guests that arrive late will have a muster drill either after sail away or early the next day.
correct, you still need to re do your card onboard. takes 2 minutes at the kiosk.

In your opinion. Others may have a different opinion. I like hearing other's experiences and thoughts about the different programs and such, helps me make decisions.
it's like saying which ice cream flavor is best. the posts are nonsensical.

This is a discussion board.
Discussion on "is this worth it?" is moot.

As long as we are on the subject, I hate posts that start with "tell me about the Seascape" or "tell me about the Seascape, Go"

On newer NCL ships replaced with The Local.
We were on the Encore, I think that was the name.... but good grub.

O'Shaughnesy's on NCL is the best. 24 hour pub food.

Can you use a debit card if it has a visa sign or does it have to be a credit card?
debit is fine.

There's a champagne bar?!?! If so, what do they offer?
Just booked for November to try out MSC for ourselves while conveniently from NYC. I'm trying not to get too excited about any cruise line these days! Even the ones I've been on many times.
They had a bunch, and even offered specials from time to time. My wife was excited, they offered Veuve. I'm not a sparkly guy, so not sure if there were nicer ones.

No one on this board knows anything about you or your likes/dislikes. Asking random people on the internet for their 'recommendation' of anything is silly. Making your own informed decision is probably best.
my favorite are the "is it worth it?" posts. nonsensical.
