  1. How old are your two kids? Younger people take up less room LOL! I know two cabins or a suite may not be a financial option. Keep in mind they will be in bunk beds. There will be railings. You would have to pack very efficiently. A trick I read and used for our daughter when she went away for camp was to pack her clothes for each day into a separate large ziplock. That way shirts, shorts, socks and unders would be easy to grab and go. Label with each person's name and day of the cruise.  Hang up only the nicer dresses/suits. Ziplocks will take up less room and will be easy to store in a drawer or on a shelf. And a behind the door shoe organizer for toiletries as the bathrooms are small. It is doable. Ive never tried but I have been on enough cruises that I know people have made it work, Enjoy

BTW, "breezing through security" is not dependent on how much stuff YOU have.  It matters how many people are in front of you, and how much stuff THEY have.  😉

If the group goes ahead of and checks in, they will still have to wait to board. Then if  driver comes with no items to go through security screening, they will be waved though with no waiting and could catch up with the group if they havent boarded yet. or at least be soon behind. Im looking at then going through check in separately

We were instructed to go to the regular self assist area and when debarking starts to just walk to the front of the line. We thought that there would be a staff member directing things...but NOOOOO...not a good thing!!

Oh no! What ship were you on and what happened?

  4. Pick the same time for everyone and hope for the best. I would drop everyone off a little early. If they have to wait a few to check in then no worries. If you hustle back with no carry ons- purse, bags or luggage, then you can breeze thru security even faster. You may catch up to them. I would also stake out cab options as Ubers have been harder to get recently and can take a little longer. If a cab is there, grab it and go. Prices are very similar these days

Does a charge card fit in it without it being a pain to get it out? I have a silicone stick on one from the Wonder Inaugural cruise. The charge cards stretches it to much and it’s starting to rip. Sea pass fits in fine.

We've had the silicone type as well and I think they are about he same. I usually have to have two cards in one pocket on a silicone since it stretches' more

But not "literally everyone", as previously claimed.  Don't remember who said it.

I've only ever seen a handful of people wearing them.

If you're going to wear a lanyard, this type makes sense.  More sense than hoping for the ability to punch.

The nice thing about he punch vs the pouch is you can easily open your door with the punch instead of constantly pulling it out and putting it in. If i didn use the phone wallet, i would prefer the punch

My students like those for the back of their phones -- we often get plastic versions as give-aways from various companies -- but my kids just are not careful with them!  I see unattended phones left here and there pretty often; for example, left in the bathroom or on the bleachers at a basketball game.  Left with a credit card or cash sticking out.  I warn 'em, but they don't think anything bad'll happen.

Did anyone say their vacation was ruined by someone else's questionable fashion choice?

My daughter says it's a Kardashian thing.

I dont know about a Kardashian thing as non of our family, including our 21 year old daughter, has ever watched them. We started with a freebie ones her college gave out and moved to nicer ones. I agree that for kids, phones get lost alot. But it works well for us

I have always been under the impression, and cards that have technology in them shouldn't be near or touching your cell phone.  Probably some old internet wives tale.

We've been using these for a couple of years. We keep ID and credit cards in it with no problem. And I dont leave it behind like i used to with a purse

Ive gotten it many times at 21.99 and 19.99.We always get 2 internet and sometimes 3 for the 2 of us. I like to walk in at last minute to great seats. I like the hours of less crowded flow rider. I also live near to port.  My husband likes to cut line and set off to head to meetings. As I said, WE don't find it to be bad when on sale.

I agree. With the added perks like the flowrider and rock wall and knowing we will each have our own internet log in (sharing/logout/ log in is a hassle for us) we will use all of the benefits. And it was just reduced to $18.99/day with Black Friday for our cruise which made it even better

I think you will have a great time on Panorama. Ive been on Horizon and its a fantastic layout. The lunch choices on Carnival are awesome, Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana. enjoy saving the cash.

I was just going to say this! It's great to have so many free options for lunch especially with teenagers. Both  Guys and the Blue Iguana are really good. If theres a line, it moves pretty fast. We moved to Carnival while our DD was a teen because of the great teen programs and we could get two adjoining balconies and she could bring a friend for the same price, if not just a little more, than RCCL. 24 hour soft serve is huge for the kids and being able to grab a great burger or just some hot fried mid day is a plus for them! We saw a boy on the elevator one day holding  Guy's burger. I asked how many of those he'd eaten this cruise. He couldnt remember but said it was his THIRD of the day!  LOL! You'll have a great time! Vacations are always fun!

I have checked in at 8, 830 am several times and was able to get 1030 or 1100.  Latest I have ever had in our 13 cruises has been 1230.  I don’t get the “angst”.

    Sherri🙂

I usually dont care but will be traveling the next week and would prefer an earlier boarding time if possible. I can see myself getting distracted or not have service to check in

FYI:  Sometimes check in does not open at the stroke of Midnight.  It was a few minutes after for me this week.  Others have reported longer delays.  Don’t feel you are doing something wrong.

This is what I was wondering. I know things can and will happen. I'll be glad to know its not just me if it does! LOL
