Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Awesome! I think our last Regent cruise in a Penthouse, laundry was free as well but we were in a lower stateroom.
  2. I've been on 4 Regent cruises and never had free laundry service. Does this option also include shirts (both long and short sleeve)? If so, it will make packing easier. Thanks
  3. I agree. We did a B2B in Australia a couple of years ago and the cabin people moved everything to the 2nd room while we were touring Sydney.
  4. Thanks, I guess we fell threw the cracks. I called Regent and was told they sent the packet to my travel agent who claims he did not receive them. We board in 13 days so I guess we'll just show up.

  6. We're on the Cape Horn Expedition leaving Santiago Chile on Feb 17th. We've been on 4 Regent cruises and on every one, we received a packet that contained among other info, suitcase tags that listed our state room. I don't know if I'm getting a runaround, but we haven't received the packet above. We HAVE received our "boarding passes". This morning I was told this is all we get. In other words, no suitcase tags to list our stateroom on. Our boarding time starts at noon. I'm hoping Regent has bag tags available so we can just drop our bags and maybe "cruise" the dock area with the insurance that our 2 suitcase will find their way to our stateroom. Main question here is "does Regent send out these packets anymore?"
  7. From your post, I assume that "retail price" is from another shore tour company. In my post, I was wrong about the lack of "free" shore excursions.
  8. We were planning on a South American cruise next month and took a look at the excursion offering. VERY surprised at the costs ($100-nearly $1000). In the past 4 Regent cruises we've taken (disclaimer, before Covid), there were several that were free or almost free. On the trip we're thinking about, it would be very easy to rack up some big bucks. ShoreExcursions.pdf
  9. You probably won't find out until you're on the ship. A couple of years ago we saw the Super Bowl on an Oceania cruise approaching New Zealand.
  10. Thanks. I saw the Gateway list, but don't remember how I brought it up on the Regent site. I don't care much about the extra cost . I was mainly thinking about the additional time packed on the the travel 24 hour day to Santiago. I guess I can wait until I hear from Regent Air. Never dawned on me what we were giving up moving from Seattle to Portland. Seattle, multiple Int'l nonstops, Portland hardly any. At least another 3 hours...
  11. Thanks for clearing up this. If so, the cruise is almost fully booked.
  12. We've moved from a Regent Air departure point (Seattle or SEA) to the nearby airport of Portland OR or PDX. Does Regent Air use PDX as or starting point or are we expected to fly to SEA on our own before jointing a BC flight with Regent to our cruise? Just curious as it would be no big deal to catch a flight from PDX to SEA on our own. We would probably go in a day early, get a hotel for one day and then pickup our arranged Regent flight there. We're looking at a flight from PDX to Santiago which the shortest version looks to be around 24 total hours and adding 2 or 3 more hours is not appealing. Any input on this would be very appreciated.
  13. I'm looking at an Oceania cruise where almost the entire stateroom options are "wait listed" and wondering what that means. I'm under the understanding that when you waitlist, if a better cabin becomes available, I would get the better cabin for the price of a cabin I would take. However, with almost every cabin wait listed, does this mean I might not get ANY cabin on the cruise?
