  1. Thanks I only just registered so think I've maybe got to wait until the 1st to get the statement? All a bit new to this - always wanted to have a dabble with shares but just never had the confidence to just go what the heck and do it. Probably couldn't have chosen a worse time to start, however over the longer term, hopefully things will recover. We're on Ventura in July then Arvia next year so it's a no brainer really if you think that your going to be booking holidays quite regularly.
  2. Thanks for that. The Freetrade company was recommended through the Martin Lewis website due to no fees. I am finding however that the online only, low fee companies are probably a bit of a no frills service that is going to take a bit of leg work.
  3. Thanks for that, just one question everything I have done is on-line. I can see my portfolio within the app but beyond the fact it shows the following I'm not sure this counts as proof of ownership? Anyone any ideas?
  4. Hi guys never bought shares before but decided to take the plunge and used a service called Freetrade. Only just completed the transaction. We have 2 bookings with P&O so just checking what would the next steps be in terms of applying for obc?
  5. Not sure if anyone would know the answer to this, but any reason behind the different rules on different ships? Seemly very strict on Azura whereas Ventura has recently dropped wearing of masks at all. Just down to covid rates on board or is Ventura on a trial to see how things go possibly? For me personally I'd prefer no masks but having paid the balance and due to go in a couple of months then obviously go along with whatever the rules are at the time
  6. Yes we bought a Randox test as a test run. Had to input your details to the app 1st - passport number + photo. Once your profile is set up its all straight forward. I actually done the test before setting up the profile on the app. Literally a few clicks, then had to wait 15 mins before could take a pic of the test. Then just a case waiting for your email - which in my case was 5 mins. The hardest part was taking a photo of the passport- it was saying show the front, then saying too close, then show the back, was about to try and start again as didn't really know what I was doing and then all of a sudden it accepted the picture. Hopefully now it's all set up will be straight forward when doing it for real
  7. Thanks for that, we'll certainly look into it once on board. I guess the only difference is the fact we're on club dining. As I understand it the club and freedom restaurant's are different locations? And will only have so many tables in the club restaurant? 1st night we could arrive and they have allocated us a table for 8 and we say we need a 4, they might say sorry there are no spare tables. We'll try to find the maitre d when on oboard see what the situation is as we may have just been allocated a 4 anyway. We're not worrying either way, I'm sure they will sort it out. 1st few nights they have to plan for full capacity in the mdr, but I guess its clear to them after a few days who is going to attend or not so can make some alterations with the seating.
  8. Sorry if this has been asked before, but used the search function and got a bit lost. 1st time P&O cruiser here, we're sailing on Ventura in July and just wondering how post Covid or Living with Covid at least works on board with dining arrangements? I have seen people talk about a P&O app but pressume that is for freedom dining? There's going to be 4 of us (2 children) and I know some people might not want to be sat with kids so would prefer to sit on our own. Our past experience on RC was to leave it for the 1st couple of nights then the staff could see where there was going to be spaces. Last cruise we went on on 2018 by mid cruise the mdr was only about half full while the buffet options seemed to get busier + busier. I guess add Covid into the mix + would be even more likely to be sat on our own?
