10 minute walk - my husband said that for everything 🤪 Seriously, maybe a mile!! It was really long. According to google it should have been about 15min (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vjfj76TBTPLq7ubE6) but it seemed longer than that. We were on NCL. We went to Caves of Drach and ate lunch at Calypso (great tapas) and dinner closer to the port. We missed seeing the Cathedral so I guess we'll have to go back some time.

@MoxieMomm Our experience with Arash rental car was great. The car was waiting for us at the port. However, it is a very long walk to the parking area! We took a taxi but had to wait in a long line for the taxi. Also, flagged a taxi down to take us back to the port when we were done. We did buy the extra insurance just in case and the total was about $112 US $. We would definitely rent from them again. Thanks Roger for the suggestion!

Roger, About how much would a taxi be to the Caves of Drach? And, would it be easy to get 1 back to the port? I know you mentioned the car hire and we are looking into it, but as someone else mentioned there are no reviews online. If I add delivery to the port and the insurance, it's over 100Euros. So, just trying to figure out the best for 4 people. Thanks!

We will be in Palma on 7/21 from 12 to around 11pm. They say to be back on board by 9pm. Would it be possible to go to a beach for a little while then do a 4pm tour of the Caves of Drach? And, is it easy to get a taxi to and from the Caves of Drach? Thanks!

@Girr, thanks. I'll make a note of Avis. Right now, we have that NCL transfer booked. I just saw Shore Excursions Group has one as well a little less. But, they leave later and you have to pay the shuttle to the meeting place. I was trying to figure out all our options.

Has anyone done a tour through Shore Ex (not through NCL)? I am looking at a couple tours through Italy Tours but noticed that Shore Ex has a few different ones (not offered through NCL). Just wondered the difference between the 2 companies. Thanks

We have booked Italy Tours for Naples & Florence. I think we're going to do Barcelona on our own & catch a few taxis. An hour late, wow. Was that because of traffic? @PSU78, good to hear you enjoyed the Monaco/Monte Carlo. That was our 1st choice but now I don't know. Did you feel rushed at all?

We will be in port from 9am to 6pm at the end of July. I am leaning to booking one of NCLs excursions to get on a tender & not worry about scheduling it. Anyways, I am travelling with a few people who have never been to Europe and I was in Monte Carlo for about a few hours 30+ years ago. What do you think would be more interesting? Cannes, Monaco, Nice? I know Monaco & Nice are about an hour away. I was looking at Monaco on your own, Monaco & Monte Carlo, Nice & Eze. Also, these excursions have no reviews, so it's hard to tell which might be good. Thanks!

Will taxis be willing to take you all the way to Florence? And, any idea on the cost for 4 people? I don't think I want to deal with the trains and I know if we do it through NCL they won't be able to get us all the way into the city. So, I was wondering about a taxi straight. Any suggestions?
