  1. Hi all - looking at a Scandinavian cruise next year on Apex - looking at outside cabin as balcony is quite a hike up!!! Seems deck 3 is where we’ll be. Any advice on cabin numbers to avoid. I’ve been looking at whats above on deck 4. Any advice appreciated-thanks

I'm guessing straight after next year's eastbound TA.

We're onboard, ends in Southampton April 3rd, next sailing shown on the website is from Amsterdam April 27th.

Same thing this year on Constellation, we had no issues like work starting whilst crossing or venues shut, ship was in great shape, if this was your concern, had a ball too.

Thanks-booked for September next year so ve a nice bonus if she gets a facelift 😂

  3. I would say there is absolutely no point trying to get to London (unless you can afford a helicopter 😂) I live in London & just not do’able in a day. Maybe next time factor in a stay in London b4 boarding in Southampton

  4. Hi we’re on QE on 9th October with same itinerary. We have booked a trip to Aix en Provence via Cunard (Toulon) as thought it was a good price & also wanted to visit here. I would say that France has great train links & you might want to look into getting a train to St Tropez which is very pretty. Also in Livorno we have booked the trip to villages/wine tasting. For Pisa & assume you want to go to leaning tower this is “out of the way” & has a few restaurants around it but is in quite a residential area. I’d recommend going to Lucca which is a beautiful walled city, very atmospheric & great restaurants, very walkable on yr own. I think there is a trip there via Cunard. Ibiza we plan to do on our own as can just walk the old town & have an early dinner as think we leave late evening. Valencia is a great city & you can get the local train from port (its about a 20 minute walk from dock area) into the city. Lots of things to see/do. We booked a walking tour (privately) last year which was great. Toursbylocals is a good one to look up. Alternatively if weather great walk along the beachfront to a restaurant for paella.

    Hi

Really dislike he tonics offered on previous boat trips , schweppes , seagrams & canada dry.

Heard that Fever Tree is available on Beyond - anyone know if it is available on Edge and / or Aoex for  our June & September cruises this year 31763357-6843-4575-A99B-1BEEAEE1DDA0.thumb.jpeg.336b3a50a42bd590ca7c3848512d036a.jpeg

I agree Fever Tree is my go to tonic / even without gin its a great drink - elderflower is my fav minus gin. Possibly more on European sailings? Not sure. Hopefully onboard Summit in a few weeks 👍🏻

If we require an on board test prior to Bermuda disembarkation, I would not expect that we would be charged.

However, I think the statement from Celebrity quoted above is out of context and probably irrelevant to the Bermuda question. The above relates to the situation where, e.g., you are from the UK, you need a test to get on the plane to go home after your cruise, then Celebrity will arrange that test for you {at the port, NOT onboard} at no charge if you booked your cruise before such and such a date. Nothing there about mid-cruise testing on board to allow a given port call.

As a UK resident we now don’t need a negative test to return to the UK, just a negative test to fly into the US.

No formal nights unless you want to dress up.  There’s always a few that either love to wear formal attire or didn’t know that formal nights became chic nights. Still don’t know what “chic” means.  From what I have seen on chic nights, many people have different ideas.  Wear what you want.  It’s your cruise. Enjoy!

“Chic” is a French word for basically looking good & smart- don’t quote me though😂I’m from the UK and if we’re going out somewhere “posh” then we’ll “dress up to the 9’s” - don’t you just love all the different versions of saying the same thing - the joy of the English language 😂
